Goes like its namesake, looks like one. Enough said.

@vero94773 I can see the resemblance to the new Amalfi in the Novus’ nose, but even from other angles, it has the visual impact of a supernova - in a good (albeit understated) way. I could even imagine it existing in real life without much revision.

Round 1 - Stable Entries:

Reminder of how I am judging

@Koviico - Tioro Caesaro

Starting everything off with the Ceasaro, a stunning and low slung body instantly entice the Tioro board members - however one thing is instantly noticeable, the front end is very similar to the existing Amaro, which is fine to an extent but I feel it could do a bit with its own identity and doesn’t just feel like a souped up Amaro, which is why i gave more freedom on the design language and said it doesn’t need to follow an existing one. That being said it still does look really good, well made too, really quite smooth overall with some lighting stuff going on in the front & rear but nothing out of the ordinary for automation. Overall it’s well built and certainly looks good with no real issues, could maybe be it bit more aggressive i suppose, leaning more towards the sleeker side of things on this one. The highlight for me is the proportions, really nails what i wanted in that category.

  • Aggressiveness Score = 3.5/5

@ReunionRacer25 - Tioro Igolnik

Now onto the Igolnik…oof, bit of a messy one all over. Nothing seems to work together and seems very hastily glued together with no real thought put into anything. And the 80s rims are really not helping the case at all. Will keep this review short as there genuinely is not a lot to talk about, but this goes without saying that Tioro will not be looking at the offer for too long.

  • Aggressiveness Score = 1/5

@azkaalfafa - Tioro Scharf

Next onto a rather interesting one, the Scharf. Now admittedly i was sceptical about this one, but it did grow on me looking at it in game. The silhouette is good, its quite aggressive and definitely looks fast - that being said however, it doesn’t feel particularly German… to me it feels much more like a Chinese creation in my opinion, but looking past that i do like what i see. Some things im not particularly fond of is the suicide doors and how vertically the front end is designed, i like the “blades” on the ends but everything in-between feels too upright, needs a bit more horizontal elements to accentuate width - same with the rear but not nearly to the same extent at least. Lastly quality is reasonably good with a few clipping issues here and there making surfacing rough but still well made.

  • Build Quality Score = 3.75/5

  • Aggressiveness Score = 4.25/5

@the-chowi - Tioro Saturno

Next up is the Saturno, first impressions are quite good overall - i love the design up front with the “fading” grill and the angry frowning bar, looks mean without being very busy. Down the side there is a sleek air extractor nicely integrated into the doors (which does lack the aggresion that the front & rear end has) and a nice two tone roof which (very cool btw) removed most of the rear window, i think that looks quite cool with the indent for the 3rd brake light - however im not sure how to feel about the full glass roof with no structural elements running across it. Onto the rear, i do like the air extractors and simple diffuser, however the exhausts do clash a bit with the diffuser’s shape - the lightbar is okay but i feel it could’ve been wider and a bit more thought put into it rather than it just following an outline. Overall i do like this one, relatively clean build with cool ideas, but does miss on a few places too.

  • Design Score = ?/10

  • Build Quality Score = 4.25/5

  • Aggressiveness Score = 3.75/5

@vero94773 - Tioro Novus

The Novus is next up and off the bat i can see this definitely looks more on the sleek side of things a rather subtle design when shown here in this dark blue but it’s nice - I am aware this was a bit of a rush job (like no underbody at all lol) but there is still a decent amount of detail stuck into it. The front end is nice but lacks aggression i feel, quite in contrast to the rear which looks quite angry with the big diffuser & angular lights. The hood & side (especially from the front/top 3/4) looks really nice with the sleek curvy indents and match real nice. Overall the car has a good profile with really nice skirting around the bottom, just wish there was a tad more aggression around the front end and maybe a small lip spoiler to add to that.

  • Design Score = ?/10

  • Build Quality Score = 3.75/5

  • Aggressiveness Score = 3.5/5

@Xepy - Tioro Amygdala

Last in line for the stable entries is the Amygdala, a entry that i had high hopes for but has one issue that is quite bothersome for me. But starting with what i like… most of it really, the profile is good - quite low but still has decent proportions. The doors have a sleek integrated air extractor nearly the full body height so they should work nicely. The rear is well done, plenty of depth, a big diffuser with big exhausts and a lightbar with some nice detailing work inside, similar to what the Amaro had. Now, my biggest issues are up front, even though its quite a low nose i feel proportionally its quite squished if you factor in how thick the lower lip is, i also feel it could’ve done without the top grill section between the lights since the car is already so low it almost takes up unnecessary space up front - overall it doesn’t have the same sleek vibe as the rest of the car. But with that being said i still really like the rest of the work that has been done, really well made too.

Round 2 - Alpha Entries:

Reminder of how I am judging

@Fantic2000 - Tioro Kumi

First up on the alpha build list we have the Kumi, and just like the first review on the stable side we have a low slung, wide and sleek body. The Kumi has a really nice profile with nicely integrated air extractors and some indentations around the wheels which i think looks pretty good. The rear is up next and again i like what I’m seeing, simple but also angry looking with the big diffuser and flowing rear lightbar, and i also really like the more central mounted exhausts. No real complaints thus far besides some automation lighting moments here and there, but… moving the the front end it’s a bit of a different story (seems to be a pattern in the challenge) i feel like nose is too high in comparison to the rest of the body and as with the Amygdala i think the top grill section is unnecessary and adding to the visual height even more - overall though the nose just feels old as well, but it’s not necessarily bad looking on it’s own.

  • Design Score = ?/10

  • Build Quality Score = 3.75/5

  • Aggressiveness Score = 3.5/5

@CrazyCat808 - Tioro Thalix

Next up we have the Thalix and again the first impressions are decent. The front end (while being quite French coded) does look nice and i can see thought has been put into it, i also like the angular nature of it. Looking at the profile it starts to go a bit wayward… the proportions do feel slightly off with how little bodywork is above the front wheel while the rear has plenty - i also feel like the A-pillar sits quite far forward, buuttt the air extractors do look pretty nice. Now moving to my biggest issue with this entry, the rear end - i feel it’s quite disconnected from the rest of the car, not really having the angular feel of the rest of it and moreso just being mostly horizontal. The black section between the lights also feel very unnecessary and doesn’t really add anything visually, the lights themselves (while i respect trying some depth on them) ended up just looking quite blocky. And lastly the spoiler feels too tacked on and quite aftermarket.

  • Design Score = ?/10

  • Build Quality Score = 3.25/5

  • Aggressiveness Score = 4/5

@randomtuner - Tioro Collera

Up next is the Collera, a bit more of a “different” entry. Now off the bat this (like the Scharf) doesn’t feel very German in it’s design, more French in my opinion. For me, while i respect the build techniques and i can see the vision, this doesn’t really look like a super sedan to me, not really much aggression at all and more subdued all over. The front end is decent but not sure how to feel about the split lights, could maybe have done without the bottom ones i think. Next is undoubtedly my biggest issue with this entry, the profile, more specifically the beltline - I’m not really a fan of the big dip that it has and the weird proportions that it leads to, the mirrors are also quite a miss for me. However i do like the idea behind the vent flow from the front fender all the way to the rear, the best part of the build - i really like it quite a bit, and if you look from straight on at the rear (and ignore the reflections) it really has a good shape going with the big hips and simple & effective styling, the indentations around the diffuser & general depth at the back is really the strong point here for me. There is definitely some hidden potential on this one i believe.

  • Design Score = ?/10

  • Build Quality Score = 3/5

  • Aggressiveness Score = 3/5

@CrasHTalk - Tioro Apollo

The Apollo is next in line and immediately it grabs my attention, i love the profile on this and the proportions are really good. A lot of thought and care went into this build, nothing is out of place and it’s really well made. The separated panel look is really cool (though the gaps are a tad too big and you had them thinner before!) these gaps also integrate some air extractors which is really smart too - also shoutout to the blacked ou A-Pillar. The rear is also a mega job and i really can’t complain about it much at all. But as per tradition in this challenge, the front end is where it loses some points for me, does it look mean? Yes very much, but almost in a cartoonish way if that makes sense, also very flat from certain angles. Besides that it’s still well made and has plenty of details like the air pass-through using a faux grill. Other than that I’m not sure what else to say really, pretty solid entry and i appreciate all the thought put into it.

  • Design Score = ?/10

  • Build Quality Score = 3.75/5

  • Aggressiveness Score = 4.25/5

@qofsolus - Tioro Basilica

The next entry is the Basilica, with another sleek and low slung body. As with a few other entries it doesn’t feel quite German, leaning more towards Italian i feel - especially with how this looks like it’s much more upmarket than what Tioro would really be lol. But besides that it still looks really good, it’s well made and well thought through too. The profile is good and i like the line that flows from the air extractors along the skirt and all the way to the rear, not sure how to feel about the dual tone roof though. The rear itself is also nice and sculpted, very low, wide and nicely detailed all over. Up front I’m a bit unsure about the massive grille taking up most of the nose, and the big silver accent on top does feel a bit odd due to the circular shape mostly, I feel if it followed the grill shape more and maybe the headlights were a bit thinner It would be an improvement imo. Overall it’s a really nice build, very well detailed and thought out, main drawbacks being the front end and the fact that it just feels very much bespoke Italian lol.

  • Design Score = ?/10

  • Build Quality Score = 4.25/5

  • Aggressiveness Score = 3.75/5

@potatorain081 - Tioro Lucius

Bringing the reviews to a close is the Lucius, and it’s an interesting one. Just off the bat the entire car looks about 10 years old, no feature on the car gives off any modern feeling. Proportionally it’s also a bit of a fatty, low & wide yes - but the greenhouse is way too big and sits in the centre of mass which just makes it look way to heavy. The actual design features on their own are actually not that bad, i like the split-T design in the rear lights and the front facsia is pretty nice looking too, but there’s not much aggression anywhere on the car besides maybe the frowning face and the slight flick in the skirt. Yeah not sure what else to mention, it’s not bad looking car (besides the proportions) it just doesn’t look new at all unfortunately.

  • Build Quality Score = 3.75/5

  • Aggressiveness Score = 3/5

The Final Standings:

(The Entries were so close it was really hard to choose)

I will be revealing the design score and then the overall score for the ranking

The Podium:

Choosing a winner was very difficult, ultimately it came down to bodystyle, Xepy outgunning Crashtalk simply due to having a lower & sleeker body making it feel more “super” and Koviico’s being a bit too like the Amaro holding it back a bit. Overall, very tight results and some really good entries - thank you all for participating & congrats to the winner.

Very close finish! Thank you for hosting, some very strong competitors with quite different approaches and 3 ties!

I’ll have something up in a day or two hopefully.
