CSC72 - Ventidieci

Brief

Tristella is an established manufacturer of luxury high performance vehicles, based out of Italy. With a rich pedigree of racing cars, an extensive historic line-up of road cars and a revitalized lineup that have brought the brand to new heights at the turn of the millennium, the marque has done very well for itself.

However, the 2010s is now fast approaching and to keep the momentum up, they will have to be quick and ahead of the curve with their new models. And key of this, as with any performance car manufacturer, would be its design. Sure, the engineering is important, but the first thing anyone does with a car of this type is to look at it, especially one of this pedigree.

Currently, the Tristella line-up is defined by three main models, all in the process of being phased out within a couple years of 2010:

Corvus:

Lightweight, small, mid-engined sports car, equipped with a naturally aspirated V6. The entry point to the Tristella brand.

Crecerelle:

Two seater grand tourer, equipped either with a flatpane V8 or a V12. The mid to high end option, depending on trim level.

Otus:

Flagship supercar. Currently uses a F1-derived V10, pinnacle of Tristella’s brand and performance.

Tristella is also evaluating the market space for other model ranges, however the focus will be on refreshing the current line-up with a new design language that will bring Tristella’s brand to the future, while still carrying its historic cues and legacy. The designer is free to pick what model to use to showcase the new design language that they will present. While a large degree of freedom will be offered for the designer, they are urged to bring something of what past Tristellas have, as well as to sprinkle in the triangle design motifs that the board would love to make as part of the brand’s identity. It should also be noted that these should aim to be production ready concepts.

The design proposals will be judged on the following:

Beauty

(Basically rather I like the design or not)

Identity & Distinctiveness

(How it stands out and how it presents itself as a car built for Tristella)

Cohesiveness & Build Quality

(How well it works together and if there are any visible flaws)

Summary: Tristella is looking for a production ready concept as a basis of their 2010 design refresh

So are you looking for only one overall winner, or three (one per model line)? I’m guessing it’s the former.

I will only be looking for an overall winner - the three is mainly to showcase the current (2000’s) model line up as what the new design will replace.

Other questions answered on Discord:

Engineering and Interiors will NOT be judged, so you are free to do whatever for those.

Naming for car models can follow previous model names or be entirely new.

is it possible to make a 2+2?

That’s fine.

are we kinda forced to use triple circles for taillights? all 3 of the modern cars has it.

while I won’t specifically answer for Xepy and his brand, typically in CSC you can move away from some of the design cues and features provided as examples and do something different if you still take care to make a good design and you’re not ignoring all of the brand’s provided design cues - how you do that though, is ultimately up to you as a designer.

tl;dr not necessarily, if you still put up a good design and follow the majority of a brand’s design features, you should be okay.

Idont know the badge with the scale isnt giving me the same as the car, i saw it too big, is there something im doing wrong? also any bird name is allowed?

Mind posting a screenshot of what’s happening?

Also yes any bird is allowed, typically I use the Latinized name, but there’s a few that’s not so just go with what sounds good.

little peek, still wip

With the scale given, i will correct it to fit but yes thats what i got

Strange, well, simplest solution is to ignore my scaling for the inner triangles and adjust so that the 4 within will fit equally. That’s the more important part regardless.

TRISTELLA CONDOR

In 2010, a new star rises in the new world of hypercars. From the visionaries at Tristella Automotive comes a machine designed not only to dominate the road, but to redefine speed, power, and elegance.

The Condor takes its name from one of the most powerful creatures of the skies, a symbol of grace and dominance. This isn’t just a car. It’s flight, brought to the road.

Every line has a purpose. Every curve cuts through the wind. The Condor isn’t designed to be admired standing still — it’s designed to soar.

At its heart roars a hand-built 5 liter twin-turbocharged V12, delivering 900 horsepower of pure adrenaline. Every rev is a symphony of precision engineering.

The Condor launches with ferocity, reaching 100 kilometers per hour in under three seconds. With advanced aerodynamics, it slices through the air, ensuring stability at over 370 kilometers per hour.

Inside, the cockpit cocoons the driver. Digital precision meets luxury craftsmanship. Every element is stripped to essentials — nothing distracts you from the experience of flight on the ground.

Only ninety-nine will ever exist. Each Condor is crafted as a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, tailored for the few bold enough to command the skies of the road.

The 2010 Tristella Condor. Not just a hypercar… a force of nature.
