MION ALMANAC V8

MION, the luxury division of korean automaker Namwon Automobile, introduces the first of its 2025 lineup: the Almanac V8. The luxurious monolith incorporates bold lines and design elements from the Apex Hydrogen Concept and added a glossy, colorful finish, creating an imposing, grandiose, yet not completely boring image. Look outside the window and expect nothing but stares of envy and awe while commandeering this steel lounge. And they’re sure to look; though muffled, the in-house twin-turbocharged V8 that is its heart is surely hard to miss.

So I’ve got a question about interiors that I’d like an official ruling on.

I’m using ShadowAura’s roof mod, and I was wondering if the interior has to be “part of the car,” i.e. is it mandatory to be in the actual interior? Or can I include it separately if I want to do one. If necessary I can make it work as a legit interior, provided I find the best way to shut my inner perfectionist up.

Unfortunately I am not going to allow a separate interior car
It is slightly more difficult without the 2D placements, but it is not impossible to make an interior on a car using the roof mod, and there are many cars out there that does that.

That’s understandable. I’ve got a basic plan of attack figured out but was curious as to what the official word would be.

From what I’ve seen so far, the Almanac isn’t based on the '09 Offender, but the '88 EU SUV (presumably the 3.1m wheelbase version), in 5-door configuration - its boxier shape lends itself better to angular design languages, even in 2020 and later.

Deadline is now extended to August 18th!

Will you consider it a realism ding to use aero fixtures for interior modeling purposes?

Where do you stand on V16?

Collaboration anyone? I have a Rhania in the works…

I’d wait for the host to confirm, but I would assume as long as you don’t end up breaking the net positive downforce rule you should be ok. There are many times where I have used a certain fixture for something else entirely.

@SpeedyBoi

IDK why you’d want to, but as long as the downforce stays 0 or below it should be ok.

(V16’s should be allowed since a while ago)

2025 Placard Revenir

History

Once known as the “American Standard” for luxury cars, Placard stood for engineering excellence and opulence during the first half of the twentieth century.

Placard’s sedans were the car of choice for the well-off. Multiple Presidents chose to take their inaugural trip to the White House in a Placard Royal.

However, their seemingly bulletproof reputation gave way to poor financial management during the 1950’s. More effort was put in to creating one-off show cars than in the actual product line they sold, and by 1956 their lineup had fallen far behind the competition.

Bill Francis was appointed Placard’s new GM early in 1956, immediately turning his attention to a new car design, codenamed the Royal. It would combine Placard’s trademark waterfall grill with sleek new sheet metal and an ingenious new load-leveling suspension that promised an unmatched driving experience.

The new design was well-received, but financial woes had taken their toll on Placard. Only two running examples of the Royal were built, both now in the hands of collectors. The company was sold multiple times before falling into obscurity.

Rebirth

Enter Armor Group. Between Armor Motors and Durendal, Armor group is actually doing quite well for themselves, building a reputation as a builder of solid every-day vehicles for the every-man (with Durendal offering cushier trim levels).

But Armor has noticed a dramatic shift in the market. Over the last 40-or-so years, money has pooled at the top of the payscale. And, though Armor would never consider abandoning the masses, the company sees an opportunity for growth in a new (for them) market.

The Placard name is now in the hands of Armor Group, and their first offering for the historic marque is the Revenir. It features Placard’s unmistakable waterfall grill incorporated into an imposing, yet sleek, SUV design.

The interiors are hand-crafted to meet each customer’s individual specifications. Reclining rear seats and retractable screens come standard (the screens fold into the seat backs), and everything is fully customizable.

Performance from the 4.4 liter V8 is more than adequate, with 0-60 times in the low 4-second range. The suspension has been expertly tuned both for premium comfort and drivability.

I tried importing the file myself, and found it to be incompatible with the 4.27+ builds since it was made in an earlier, obsolete version (4.24 and earlier).
