CSR147 - Out and In the Open

Congratulations to the winner! I kinda figured mine wasn’t going to win, but it was fun to build it anyways. This was the first CSR I’ve entered in a long time. It was a lot t of fun!

Great round this time around, loved the fact we were allowed to get creative with what kind of car we made only really being constrained by 2 things (convertible and 2 seat rows), was great fun to make the little thing, and some pretty nice cars showed up to compete.
Congrats to the winner and, quite honestly, everyone else!

Holy cow! I hoped to do well but I wasn’t expecting to do that well. Many thanks for running this round - running a challenge with 47 entries is amazing no matter what, but writing constructive and detailed reviews for each entry in a fun style within two weeks is truly above and beyond.

I’ve got a few ideas for the next round and some mule cars - should be up in a day or so :slightly_smiling_face:

Wow! The Chevilic pulled off a great win, I knew it was a great design. All the ones on the winning list were cool, and I was surprised sportiness took a backseat. Sadly I was disqualified for incorrect naming lol.

Then again, it wasn’t a great loss - your car would not have even made the second stage of judging, as these notes show:

As a postscript, I have since revised my entry to be much more stylish and upmarket, with more power to suit its mission - but it would still have been a long shot to reach the finals anyway, given that it would now be up against the really high-end luxury stuff such as the Lunascura instead of a whole slew of mere premium offerings. Here it is:

Same wheelbase as before, but on a longer body and with more detailed styling in keeping with its more luxurious demeanor.

There’s more power on tap (250 bhp this time instead of 200) and the mechanicals have been tweaked accordingly.

Inside there’s a full luxury interior and cassette tape player in place of the premium system found in the original.
