I was just wondering if you plan to include a data editor for the single player mode? So that you can edit the AI companies to real ones, like Toyota, VW…, with all their models, engines etc.

To be honest, all of that is in the air.
There are soo many things we would love to do, but only have so much time.
Community tools are just as time consuming to write and test as the game itself, (well almost), but also in that case, we do not intend to just release the game and drop it. We will support it for as long as we can afford to.
This is a round about, not really conclusive response. The answer is maybe, we have no concrete plans for solid community tools, we do like the idea of community modding and additions, we love the idea of community driven games. So in a fair wind, if we have the time and resources yes, we may have a tool like that.

I remember a old game called Winter Challenge, which had no licenses for the names of the athletes. All of the names was in a simple text file, which you could open and edit with WordPad. I have no programming skills, but I guess it depends on how the data is stored as to how easy it will be for the community to edit it.
