after turning of the ambient setting the game works perfect . ì`m running my pc on my 42 inch hdtv so wish we had fullscreen option but i just love this game.
Great job guys. Greetz from the Netherlands
forgot 1 thing the biggest resolution 1920/1080 does not work on my hdtv it`s way smaller than it should be.
This bug may just be my computer but when i have the screen space ambient inclusion graphic option turned on: it makes the hit box for where the buttons are really strange. You have to click above every button to select it.
ok it says that it has downloaded to my computer but then it says theres an update that needs to load. it will say the update is done then say the update has failed and im back to the beginning.
How do you change the engine name, can’t seem to do that one at all ![]()
thx
I 've had game freezes as I start the engine test but apart from that all good
Played for hours last night…really impressed thanks
Dont know if mentioned already, but in Hatchback GTi scenario i cant choose anything from fuel systems and forwards. I mean, everything is in gray and cannot be choosed.
I’ve got no problems with this scenario. Are you sure you have chosen everything before?
@zetjester: Just click on engine name and type. You may be confused, as there is no text cursor.
autoamtion crashesh during game with error:
Step() failed!: [string"…"]:733 attempt to index local ‘cat’ (a nil value)
Jeep Drives You scenario
@Marcin I’m guessing you tried to select the muffler without having selected a cat well in this case without having selected none.
@did you select something for each field in the fuel systems taps, if you did try selection different stuff in fuel system and see if that didn’t make a difference.
Sorry if this has been mentioned - I couldn’t immediately see it:-
Although I’ve got economy set to UK MPG, I get in in lb/hph which is the same as emissions. is this a bug or a way of recording economy i’ve not come across before?
Otherwise great
OK, we’ll need to update FAQ.
You can’t give economy in MPG for just an engine. You must have a whole car.
Thus, the economy is given in lb/hph, which is correct unit for stationary engines.
I think I’ve found a possible bug:
I was testing my engine a few times, and on each of the tries, the sound almost “fades” away as the number of revolutions per minute increases. For example; it was louder @2000 RPM then it was @4000 RPM, and @5000 RPM it regained the correct sounds.
This also happens during some of the “Help on this section” videos.
As far as I’ve seen, it has happened on 8, 16, and 20 Valve Inline 4 engines; regardless of fuel system type.
EDIT: It doesn’t seem to happen with 20 Valve engines.
I had a little problem installing direct X the first time I tried it, but I got it to work, I don’t believe that was related to your software; other than that, no problems running the game so far. I have noted a couple glitches when I was fine tuning air/fuel mixture and timing advance that slight changes would suddenly show huge losses in power (I’m talking 89hp down to 35hp) that I’m assuming must be a glitch in the programming. It’s intermittent, but it’s happened a few times both in the scenarios and in the sandbox.
Other than that, great work, I’m floored with this so far and I can’t wait for the turbos.
Same here, I just got home from holidays and tried downloading it. the program itself was fine but when you boot it up it says update build 79 or something, click no and it quits. If you click yes a large file TRIES to download but then crashes after a completely random amount of time and exits everything again. HELP!
(also first post, I’ve been here just a lurk though. Finally made an account haha)
Getting a crash when I click the TESTING button 100% of the time, doesnt matter if its sandbox or scenarios, full screen or windowed. I am able to build an engine from scratch, but the second i click to Test the engine i get this
This is on my Windows XP machine, havent had this issue with my Windows 7 Laptop (or any other issues for that matter)

After getting help from my more tech savvy younger brother, the solution is to quit everything else running in the background and turn off your firewall, I did that and it downloaded fine.
Ahh ok, Firewalls can cause issues like that, so makes sense

How slight are these changes? Remember that knocking reduces engine power.
