I had the idea of a simple engine version converter (For people who REALLY don’t want to lose their work). Like for example when a new, old-save-unsupportive version comes out, you can use it to convert an old engine file to a new one.
Way of functioning:
- Players make an engine with stock values
- Converter reads the basic, player-input settings (bore,stroke,parts,compression,mixture,etc) from the old save file.
- Converter writes these values only in the new save file.
Do you think it should be a good idea? If so it’s pretty easy to be done, I can design it and release it to the community.
