Well, the results are delayed a little bit. I am currently experiencing some computer problems. Might be my graphics card that is dying.
Try putting the graphics on low, it also could be that your graphics card is just overheating due to the awesomeness.
If you’re on a laptop, just put it on medium settings and run it with your integrated graphics.
It’s not the game causing it, I just had an outdated driver for the graphics card (at least I think that was the problem). This is what was happening: After closing the game, and just searching for some things on google, the screen goes black and it shows: No HDMI signal, then I just had to turn it off and back on. Happened two times today. Installed a driver not long ago and it runs fine.
Fixed now, right?
Well, I guess so. Haven’t got the same problem after I updated the driver.
Results will be posted at Sunday or Monday!
Results will be ready in a few hours! But before I make the results list: does anyone know if there is a glitch/bug/problem with engine files? 3 of the cars in the Prototype class are not within the engine restrictions. So if anyone knows if there is a problem with engine stats not being correct, then please tell me.
There could be a difference if you were using B1408 for checking the entries. But since that wouldn’t work at all with platforms, no, there shouldn’t be any problems.
Well, then there are 4 DSQ in total (3 in Prototype, and 1 in GT2). But I got a message from someone telling me this: When you load the engine, it doesn’t load in properly. Just go to the aspiration tab and click on economy to fix it.
Edit: But that was someone who had tested if it loaded in with the right settings on the turbo. Some of the DSQ cars are using a turbo though.
Are you running B1408? Because I didn’t have an issue sharing engines with Strop whatsoever in B1362.
EDIT: Also, how turbos work seriously changed in the recent open beta.
EDIT2: nvm, you cant be, stupid question, old platforms don’t load there.

Not running the open Beta, and I won’t update to it either. Just gonna wait for the update.
But one person sent me his files and said: the engine doesn’t load properly, just go to the aspiration tab and press on the economy button for the turbo, that fixes it.
So maybe the turbo settings havent saved properly (maybe a bug or something).
Maybe you can send a message to the ones with weird engine stats to ask them to forward you the exact stats, especially the turbo one, of the engine (as in how to rebuild it). It indeed could be a bug, weird though, I’ve never had it (wait, beluas engines aren’t DQ’d right?). When exchanging with strop it literally was just a drop in and it works. I do know that if you push the size limits of the compressor/turbine that it can jump one step down upon reopening.
Well I will contact the teams, but only 2 of the 4 teams. This is because most likely, its only 2 of them who may suffer from some bugs/issues. The teams that I need to contact: Belua and SRE & AMW

I have sent a PM to both teams and all team members of those two teams. If I do not get an answer soon (within 6 or a maximum of 7 hours) then they will be Disqualified (DSQ).
Other question: are you trying to test the engine, by itself, or are you running it through the model designer section, and testing the engine through the Choose Engine section?
The real stats are the ones which have been calculated after the aero fixtures have been accounted for. When I save an engine on its own in b1362, more often than not it shows a falsely low MTBF figure that is only rectified after I save the engine via Revise Model->Drivetrain->Choose Engine->Revise Engine. I’ll PM you a screenshot along with our settings, to show you the difference, and I bet you the lower figure matches the one that you obtained when loading the engine yourself.
Team Belua breaking the laws of physics before the race even begins this does not bode well for us mere mortals.
Hey, don’t cloud the issue, I swear this is a common issue that affects us all
Either that, or every single engine I touch breaks the laws of physics. That can’t be possible. I’ve made production car friendly engines before ;_;
How do you check economy btw? Because if you use the thermodynamic efficiency from the engine designer aswell, it could be pretty skewed since weight influences fuel consumption and in real world practice turbos perform better due to better simulation.
Poor guy, team Belua giving him a hard time with fancy ways to properly calculate stuff
And yeah, the cooling issue in engine designer is a common issue, luckily some people got DQ’d, otherwise we’d never have found out and turbo engines would’ve broken down way too often than they actually would
Ok, the MTBF problem is now fixed for the Prototype cars. One car from GT2 and one car from Prototype class will be disquallified. A third car might be disquallified or get a DNF due to problems with loading it in the game, so I am looking at this. The two teams (Belua and SRE & AMW) are still in the event!
