Ive just bought the NA edition, received a key. Went to activate it and i get presented with this “The key you specified could not be activated: key is unassigned” error.
Any suggestions what i might be doing wrong?
ive just got here (on the new looking site) with fresh set of dns’s and it worked. Now the waiting begins

Yay, glad that worked as we couldn’t seem to work out why you couldn’t activate, stupid DNS! 
Actually im having similar problems. i also posted this on demo key questions:
i preordered the forced induction version of automation via this website with paypal (however it was with a different email address that has the paypal account… ) the other email address does not have an account on this website and i am trying to activate the demo key but it keeps saying: The key you specified could not be activated: key was not found. How do i get it to work so that i can download the demo?

i just got it to work as you can see by my turbocharged forum stats 
it was an error on my part of typing in the key, the keyboard i have is not typing certain letters in so i had to switch keyboards. but thank you for your help anyway and apologize for any inconvenience.
I may have a similar problem, the email i used for this forum is different to the paypal one I used to pre-order the game.
As I recall the engine demo was supposed to offer optional extras for pre-ordered customers I put my username info in on the launcher but it just seems to retain stock engine demo features.
Am I doing it wrong?

There aren’t any optional extras to be had yet, once we release the first extra content (V8s) you’ll get those

how about … mine is activated but when i try to connect it says my username doesnt exist
User names are case sensitive, so that could be the problem?
