chevy trailblazer straight piped, almost sounds like a very deep N/A 1JZ: youtube.com/watch?v=Q7S1IkrM3Gc

4A-GEs on trumpeted throttle bodies sound so raw and mechanical under power. That burble at lower revs that becomes the scream:

Also, note the fuel gauge. Nice economical 1.6… :stuck_out_tongue:

Mazda Cosmo 20B. Comes with it from the factory! Not like this, though.

Beautiful… possibly the best sounding inline-4 I’ve ever heard.

Nissan’s race VK45s have such a unique sound; youtube.com/watch?v=LSIOSVvpZ8w

I’m also a fan of how angry Nissan VQs sound… this is a decent example of one; notably when he’s warming up the tires: youtube.com/watch?v=0j_Ajy3bWvE

Too many to list, but I’ll try to narrow it down.

stock Maserati GranTurismo S
stock Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat

Classy choice, but not… group 4 enough

If it’s Group 4 you want… youtube.com/watch?v=k3cSB4EAq28

On a side note, the best noise I’ve ever heard is this: youtube.com/watch?v=5SoZiTxdQyw

I just LOVE these small, old school carb engines with angry cams. And to me it doesn’t get much better than the Alpine A110. youtube.com/watch?v=e9F1YDj … page#t=108

When I was a kid, my dad took me to watch world championship rallying. I was hooked ever since. And now, 20 years later, I can still hear one particular sound in my head. That of the 1985 Lancia 037. You could hear the beast from miles away and the supercharger whine made it sound SCARY when it was flying towards you at 200 km/h barely avoiding the pine trees. youtube.com/watch?v=CQYzWaI … lpage#t=30

It’s a replica and I’m not even sure if it’s an L72 or the ZL1. But it’s a '69 COPO 427 Camaro replica and the engine is the real deal, so is the exhaust system. My favourite muscle car of all time. The sound makes me shiver all over. youtube.com/watch?v=_uKyKYq … ilpage#t=6

The Disco Volante gives me goosebumps when it growls

One of my favorite non V8 sounds is the Chrystler 265 HEMI slant 6 built in Australia.

How about some group C?

Christ! When does that thing reach its goddamn redline??!
If there’s one thing I love about Group C cars, its the start-up noises. Always sounds like the Gods limbering up to do battle.

Technically this sucker isn’t found in a car, but it is one of the best sounding turbo engines I’ve ever heard.

Especially if they’re using a Jake Brake.
This one is also a nice sounding one.

If you’re persistent enough, you can cram the 3126 into a pickup truck.

Here is another amazing sounding diesel, there is just something about straight pipe diesel trucks that makes me so obsessed

I love diesel sounds
It’s one of the things that I enjoy when I’m on a bus, and when I travel larger distances at night, a diesel engine sounds like lullaby for me.

But the sound that it’s stuck in my mind from when I was a child is the Detroit diesel. You could totally hear those engines like a kilometer away.

Back to car sounds… I found this the other day
