In 1992, the Japanese division of Solo Motors Co. did something… strange. The Shiba Inu SM, only ever sold in Japan is uniquely designed and only those who drive it truly realise how unconventional it is. Of course the engine was detuned for tax purposes, but the enthusiasts know just what to do to get its full potential.
Is that a FR coupe with 4 seats and a 5 speed manual? If it is, you’ve probably got my entry covered and I’ll submit something different.
Here’s Kirk’s Submission to be riced. Our class Kirk Kiata - TXL
img.photobucket.com/albums/v80/Carskick/1994%20Kirk%20Kiata.png
This was well known as our first car with what we called Dual Stage Valves (DSV). It was our first attempt at VVL, which created an aggressive double humped torque curve that turners love! It’s base model is tuned for efficiency, getting 34MPG and 110HP.
Not a rocket by today’s standards, but was competitive in it’s class at the time.
Time to strap on MORE LEAF BLOWERS!!!
So it’s 2007 and you’re looking for something with four doors and decent gas mileage? Don’t want to shell out for one of those ‘hybrids’ with their heavy batteries and underwhelming performance? Love the smell of burning gasoline in the morning? Then our latest model, the Storm Surge should please you.
With a turbocharged 2 liter I4 sending power to all four wheels through a 6 speed stick, you’d think it’d get horrible gas mileage. It doesn’t. It gets 36 MPG, while still giving you enough power to win a few of those stoplight drag races against people who think your Surge is ‘just another econobox.’
Another addition to the challenge for me.
Introducing the Asecii VV-R, featuring the TypeAR VV16DTE Engine with a small displ. of 1.7l but an insane revving capacity of almost 9000RPM!
(Yes it’s a Honda Civic clone)
VeeeeeeeeTEC!
Okay I’m going to come up with a new idea, for maximum ricing potential. To keep the drivetrains balanced, what would you like to see, BlahLord?
Well most ricing is done on econoboxes, so I’d prefer the cars to be that, not a GT-R ready for the ricing.

I’d love to see a Subaru/Mitsubishi knock-off/clone, a Toyota Supra clone (If possible I couldn’t find a good body to replicate one), we’re missing an AE86 knockoff/clone.
As for the drivetrains and setups we have a few turbocharged cars, FWD/RWD/AWD cars are pretty balanced there are no 4x4’s though. There are two automatics and no sequential gearboxes yet. We could use something modern like an GT86/BRZ/FR-S clone or a nissan350z/370z.
Woah that’s quite a lot
Doesn’t say you have to rice the car, it’s just a joke but some people are going to rice hard on the third challenge…
As for the first two challenges we are going to see true tuners (Tuning at it’s best I’d say)
Okay. I’m not sure I’d do a clone, but I’d definitely make something with an engine that’s totally ripe for the tuning in that spirit. Toyota Supra clone it may very well be, that definitely is lacking. And I’ve built one before.

That’s not quite what it is, other than the 4 seats and 5 speed.
You want a sports car but your parents tell you it’s too uneconomical? You want a pickup truck but they tell you it’s too big? This car combines Pickup Truck, Sports car, and econobox all in one!
With a 3L V6, you have more than enough oomph to tow things and have some fun on the track. With both a driver’s and passenger’s airbag, you can be assured you are safe when you crash.

I loved this car since the moment I saw it in my inbox, I’m definitely going to use it in one of the challenges!
I’m placing the challenge on hold as my PC is on life support now. I’ve been getting an Event 41 error that causes a BSoD whenever I play a game that requires some power out of the CPU / GPU. I’m not entirley sure but I think it’s the PSU. If somebody knows a good deal about computers and fixing the STOP errors please PM me, until I fix it, this challenge is on HOLD
support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2028504
Seems to be the PSU conking out, although when mine died back in April 2015 it just shut down and refused to start again before a new PSU was installed.
If I knew the BSoD code, I might be able to shed a little light on the situation. Dealt with plenty of blue-screens in my past.
I’ll ask a simple request for everybody that submitted their cars in the past 3 days, please fill out the template as I’m spending all my free time catching a solution to my problem.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
The Font is Arial Black ( size: 20 for text, 12 for info )
EDIT: Got the BSoD’s figured, the computer was using 5 sound driver programs?! I disabled 4 and now it works like a charm again (Damn nvidia and their forced drivers!)

Do you still need us to fill out the template?
Also, I’m a bit confused, has anybody started submitting tuned cars yet, or just the base company offerings so far? I’m presuming the latter.

I’ll fill them out today as I have some free time. For now it is just company submissions the tuning will start in a few days!
