Hot Lap Challenge HLC round 7: wnb V8 SUPERCARS 15.11.2016, 12.00 (noon) CET

how to send you my files of my car?

on the car list. pick your car, and then click the ‘export’ on the bottom, near the ‘revise car’ button.

now the .zip file should be in the ‘export’ folder on your automation folder. you need to search where your automation folder is. i kinda forgot where it is.

the .zip file that’s in the export folder is the one you send to the challenge master.

Round One Competitor Rundown

Car #1 @Darkshine5 SMC KIT

A mail order build in the shed Package from Français étrangères Motors Carburateurs Company ( Translated to French Foreign Motors Carburetors Company) or FEMCC.
A single throttle fuel injected 426ci Hemi DOHC v8 with a 5sp manual and more holes than a hillbillies long-johns. Top speed of 302KM/H and severely under braked. Cost is $20020
135.66, 114.64, 136.14
128.81

@CMT Buccaneer

Big… I mean that bonnet goes on forever. Underneath it is a 441ci SOHC 3V With ITB fuel injection and 477HP. Quite good braking but a top speed of only 272KM/H may hold her back. Cost is $20020
147.60, 125.14,146.55
139.76

@RaduST Apulum Velox

Unassuming but very good looking car. 441ci Flat-plane ITB fuel injected SOHC 3V V8 with 634HP!
Top speed again is low at 290KM/H however aerodynamically this car is sticky as glue and a contender for outright 1st. Cost is $28210
128.44, 109.10, 129.45
122.33

@JohnWaldock JWH Colt HPE

Wow…It looks like one of those Rover things, and that’s not good.
Under the hood is another 441ci SOHC 3V v8 however this particular design is fueled by twin Weber carburetors and produces 528HP.
251KM/H that’s all she gets to but the braking is not too bad. Cost is $20150
143.94, 122.84, 143.22
136.66

@abg7 NMC Sunburst 7.2 CR

No nonsense to the point light small coupe more pony than muscle but it works.
Again the max bore sizing of 441ci is used however it is teamed with a lightweight set of OHV heads and twin 4bbl carburetors for a nice torquey 414HP power-plant. A top speed of 255KM/H with good brakes and well thought out Aero put this car firmly in the middle of the pack. Cost is $21060
138.70, 119.68, 137.94
132.10

@BobLoblaw Petosky Montauk RTX Aero

Big blue Spoiler, really big blue almost NASCAR looking and the front is clearly designed to cut through the air.
The 441ci SOHC 3V ITB fuel injected v8 is used with this example producing 466HP.
Top speed is 240KM/H and the brakes can’t even last a full lap of any of the 3 tracks. Cost is $18850
140.85, 123.02, 140.65
134.84

@07CobaltGirl Camaro

Now we have Bumblebee’s older cousin! It’s a camaro with a small prostock style scoop typical of the street cars of the period.
A 396ci OHV engine keeps the weight down while twin 4bbl carbs keep the fuel rate up and a healthy 399HP is made a top speed of 263KM/H along with large 265mm tyres produces respectable results. Cost is $21060
137.41, 119.59, 138.25
131.75

@Fayeding_Spray Eminence Hollow Mind

Born with a steering wheel in her hand… and lead in her foot. She is the Nightrider… cruising at the speed of fright!
My second favorite car from this round, and it Mad Max old school kool!
440HP of 441ci SOHC 3V flat-plane ITB fuel injected v8. The header exiting the front guards is cool but unpractical. A low top speed of 243KM/H doesn’t slow her down but as she fly’s into the knight. Cost is $23400
137.41, 119.59, 138.25
129.99

More results to come.

Results part 2

@AirJordan Smooth Wolf TA

Hello little Italian. Double wishbones at all corners and a unique style. With a 441ci DAOHC Flat-Plane v8 with twin DCoe carburetors producing 535HP with a top speed of 261KM/H and suspension tuned by the Roman Gods. Cost is $23920
126.64, 109.98, 126.91
121.17

@one85db OMG NSX8

What we have here is a lesson in how simplistic design can sometimes be the best. Personally this is the best looking car of the bunch. A 441ci DOHC Flat-Plane ITB fuel injected v8 produces 504HP and a top speed of 275KM/H, great brakes mixed with a well tuned suspension setup unfortunately didn’t make the cut. Cost is $23920
133.98, 115.48, 133.90
127.78

@HighOctaneLove Bogliq Coyote AE

So many ram air scoops. A 441ci Flat Plane ITB fuel injected DAOHC v8 pumps out 422HP and propels the little coupe to 272KM/H, the extra effort spent on tuning has resulted in a fair overall number. Cost is $18330
137.75, 118.58, 137.45
131.26

@nialloftara Centuari Brougham estate.

Wow that is really cool, was my first reaction no other entrants got me so excited from the first moment of seeing it I knew this was to be my Champions Pick. A 440ci OHV tri powered 2bbl carb v8 makes a respectable 403Hp and a top speed of 258KM/H. Is it fast…No not at all but it’s so damn cool. Cost is $25870
143.27, 124.44, 143.87
137.19

@strop Courcheval Cruiser

Two words. Daytona Superbird! Now this is clearly here to kick arse and take names.
A 437ci DAOHC v8 with 4 DCoe carburetors makes 569HP and propels the Crusader to a top speed of 266KM/H, and this thing is tuned really well. Another contender for outright first.
Cost is $28340
128.32, 110.90, 128.32
122.51

@koolkei Komodo I WANT CANDY

This is just creepy, there’s always one in the bunch that just has to push too far…This would be Freddie Krugars van from hell, If this is the fastest we are in trouble. A really well tuned 441ci SOHC 3V Flat-Plane v8 with single throttle fuel injection and 595HP luckily it only reaches 237KM/H so most cars can catch the kiddy snatcher. Cost is $23400
131.15, 126.01, 132.49
129.88

And finally unfortunately we have a DQ’d entry from @MitsubishiFan V Power PRO ACE

The car is quite well tuned and has a Flat-Plane 441ci DOHC v8 with 685HP.
After the second round of scrutinizing the vehicle failed due to only having a competitive score in Muscle of 7.4 sorry mate. However I will post the results from this vehicle but they in no way affect the final challenge results.
133.52, 112.32, 132.84
**126.22**N/A

So Finally Results
First place we have @AirJordan with a final time of 121.17
Second Place goes to @RaduST with a final time of 122.33
Third place was @strop with a final time of 122.51

Champions pick @nialloftara

Nicely done, thanks a lot. Especially under these circumstances. But I am really disappointed that my car, although ironically designed and therefore not a serious challenger, is really that slow.
Next time I’ll have a different approach.

So far so good :slight_smile:

Edit: But than again, yesterday I lost a round in another of @Darkshine5’s challenges, and my car was also 100hp more powerful than the competition.

it’d be funny if it would be up to a final 3 with my van on it.

but hell, how did you get to get 634HP? i pushed as much as i can, but can’t get more power without more money. the van body is really expensive huh.

I have exactly 99hp less… but my flying att is around 3 sec faster :wink:

+14 (I think) quality on camshaft and valves=>less valve float>>high power @ high rpm

If this is the case, I’m toasted :slight_smile:

I thought we were not allowed to use quality sliders.

Quality sliders were free to use, except in the Safety section. This is my understanding of the rules.

once again, gearing is my downfall lol

I’m really curious of the cost on some of these cars!

Oh shit, I just realized I’m sitting in 3rd at the moment…

That’s one of the highest places I’ve been in ANY contest, I think…

Congrats @AirJordan, @RaduST, @strop, and @nialloftara! Great race!

On a personal note: I finally made a car that actually looks good. A personal victory! Thanks for the encouragement @HighOctaneLove!

HAHAHAHAHAH. someone beside me said something making me imply they’re gonna submit a van. turns out no. IT’S THE CANDY VAN FROM HELL!!!

and it’s goddamn well in the middle pack, so it’s actually not slow

on another note. congrats to the winners :sparkles:

It’s one of the best non-camaros I have seen in my view. I think you really nailed it style wise that rear end is MUSCLE.

But just look how cool this thing of Tara’s was

Much appreciated @Darkshine5! I agree, that wagon is cool. I’ve been focusing more lately on design, it is a challenge for me as I lack a good artistic sense.

Edit:On another note. I did retune my car slightly, keeping it within the rules, and changed the engine over to DCOE quads. The car can average around 123 seconds between those tracks now. Still not enough to win but I feel better about it. I was so focused on the looks and colors that I forgot to make it compete. :stuck_out_tongue:
