International T/A Series [1971 Season] [Season Finished]

The good news is, you’ll be able to build cars from your vision when the next build comes out. The exact body is on there and it is glorious.

Presenting my line-up for the 1971 ITA…

The 1971 Bogliq Bastion ITA

And the 1971 Bogliq Mouse ITA

I’m hoping for better than outright last this time; although the wooden spoons DO keep me warm through the long Moldovan winter!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

The bulky ManHell Atlas TX.

TF version on the way.

Quick question: As you may have noticed, the prices and man hours tend to change with changes in aero inclination and downforce for reasons I’m not sure about.

It so happens that my TF car costs 9499.99… when tuned for Nordschleife. Naturally, on tracks with high downforce requirements, the price increases by a few cents.

Must all the tunes be under the price limit? This may catch a few users out when making alterations for other courses. Then again you could argue it’s our responsibility to make sure we tune within the budget!

P.S. On a completely different note, let me regale you also with the untold legend of aspiring French duo Gascoigne & Lafierre, who decided to strip out a Renault R8 and take a punt at the TF class…

As long as the initial submission is within the guidelines, I am not going to quibble over a few cents due to aero settings later on. There’s nothing truly expensive or earth-shattering that can be changed between rounds. Of course that said, aero and suspension settings are very important. I’ve seen people not make adjustments and lose by 4 hundredths of a second. Many. Many times.

sweet. It shouldn’t be a problem, but just in case y’know?

Also LOL dude my TX entry brand is “Armada”, not “Armadillo” Just sayin’

and my TF entry; ManHell 251, hopefully a better performer than the Atlas TX.

Razyx, I don’t know about the performance, but your cars look great man.

Full track list is now available.

Thanks RaduST, well the MH 251 is nimble and light (more than the Atlas), now just we need to wait and see how it does in competition

Less than one week left for submissions.

Another italian competitor for the TF class:

SCUDERIA RAZIEL with a race version of the 1969 RAZIEL B25
I’m proud to present you the SCUDERIA RAZIEL TF2525

I want to give this a shot, but given how I’ve been either deadlast or next to last in every competition I’ve been in…

To be honest I feel honestly discouraged, much as I’m pissed off at myself for such poor results to a point that on one end, I’d try to make as fast a car as I can, but…I don’t know.

Regardless, I’ve at least started on something, but I expect to finish DEAD LAST in both the 2-5 category and overall…

I may do revisions and see if I can make it as fast as I can in all categories…or not…we’ll see.

Hey, I’ve been building cars and submitting them into competitions since the first week I bought the game and still rarely break out of the middle of the pack! Don’t feel bad man, if you want to have someone look over your designs there are plenty of guys on here who can point you in the right direction.

Have you gone through the scenarios yet? I also really recommend reading the suspension crash course: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3446

As with np1993 I too have been entering virtually every competition posted since I have joined and I’ve pretty much always come last!

I finally bit the bullet and asked one of the friendlier old-timers (that was strop BTW) for advice on where to find time and my results have improved a lot (but I still lose!).

Basically all I can say is just be happy that you chose to compete as you’ll NEVER improve without competition to highlight your flaws and remember this; most of these guys are veterans of many competitions and challenges and have been playing for literal YEARS!!! You cannot overcome that level of IP head start in a few days so just aim to improve; if you do better the second time then you’re winning! :sunglasses:

Some quick pointers:

There is a LOT of track speed hidden in your suspension settings

No point adding power if your tyres are too narrow, stats will improve lots but circuit time won’t

Narrower front tyres on a RWD car will help laptimes

The airfield track is perfectly smooth, find and download the Brands Hatch Indy track as it is small yet has bumpiness built in

some quality sliders improve the car more than others, don’t waste budget where it isn’t helping and don’t be afraid to go into negative territory; you can save weight on some sliders for no serious penalties

adjust the cooling slider so it is just above the required amount; any more improves overall reliability but causes drag…

Don’t carry any more weight than you have to; if the rules don’t disallow it then use it!

I hope that helps!

Less than 48 hours left for entries! Get 'em in!

Here is my entry, the 1971 Chrysalis Mirage 2500 ClubSport

May as well submit now.

I’d work on my machine more, but my computer is littearly having problems with overheating, and I can’t risk running the game till I find a better machine and fix this current problem…which sucks ><

That being said, here it is, The Weiler Hardy, something I hope can be a bit more competitive but we’ll see.

I took what advice was given but, I wonder if it’ll make a difference. Maybe I should talk to strop among others and see their thoughts on it.

Anyway, here’s the Weiler Hardy for the 1971 25 season.

Contestant list updated. There were two rejections – I have PM’ed them. They need to fix/resubmit by the deadline.

Speaking of deadlines… just over 14 hours left until submissions are closed.

48 minutes left. One rejection still outstanding…

As it sits, there are 10 legal TX entrants and a whopping 14 legal TF entrants. Thanks for making that class so big this season!
