At this point I think our green friend is playing a character just as you are, emulating an internet commenter free of empathy who’s never driven the car in question and just takes the word from a not necessarily unbiased critic as a fact, even though a driving experience is always subjective and thus cannot be rated.
I was referring to Kishiwo’s engineers… And I apologize for the bad joke. But I understand that it would make no sense to jump to conclusions prematurely.
Ha! Are you suggesting he’s playing the character of a [car company name]-fanboy in some YouTube comment section?
Everything older than this is outdated!
I guess it`s time for a new beginning

1986-1992 Kishiwo Lagor
The first generation Kishiwo Lagor, a midsize sedan especially designed to be sold in north America, was the second selfengineered car of the Korean carmaker. keeping that in mind, it was not the most refined car out there, but it did sell better than expected, as it was a major hit in Kishiwos homemarket and the USA.
The Lagor was offered with two different engines. The 2.0 liter inline 4, that was first introduced in the 1979 Cetu as a base engine. With its groundbreaking 106 horsepower it was underwhelming and as the Lagor was not the lightest car, a fuelefficiency of 15l/100km was an average, that would not have been acceptable in the american market. But, this engine variant was only offered in the korean market, and that at a low cost. The other engine was newly developed for the Lagor, Kishiwos first V6, a 2.8 liter one that did put 123kw out.

next up: 1992-2000 Kishiwo Lagor
The original Lagor is quite a futuristic-looking machine for 1986, with its sleek lines and S13 Silvia-esque nose - it would have been easily distinguishable from its rivals just by looking at it. In fact every Lagor has attractive styling in its DNA; out of all six iterations, I find the third-gen and post-facelift fifth-gen cars in particular to be the most aesthetically resolved cars of all in this long-running model line.
However, there’s a very good reason why the base engine - a 2.0L I4 was withheld from export markets: it was simply too thirsty and underpowered for a car its size. Thankfully, the 2.8L V6 (a standard fitment outside Korea) offered more power and efficiency, without adding too much weight and cost. I really wish it were available with a five-speed manual gearbox as standard, though, considering that its contemporaries were very likely to have one.
1992-2000 Kishiwo Lagor II
The second generation Kishiwo Lagor was first shown at the LA auto show in 1991 and brought back a more conservative styling then the predecessor. It was released in march 1992, being simultaneously sold with the first generation through 1992. After production of the first generation ended, it did excel expectations and even managed to outsell the Hyundai counterpart, which was a great success for a korean brand.
The Lagor II sold great through the mid-ninetys, but sales started to slow down, especially in the US-Market, as competition was released, that the Lagor just was not matching up with. Then, the for 1999 sheduled thrid generation was delayed by a year, as funds just where not there. Kishiwo was hit harshly by the 1990s Asian financial crisis. The last year of the second generation resulted in abmysmal sales, not even selling a thousand units regulary in its homemarket.

The Lagor was offered with two different engines. The smaller one beeing a 1.6liter 4 cylinder, which has an output of 103hp and achieved 8.9l/100km. This engine was the major seller in asia and europe, but as americans are all about those V6s, Kishiwo did offer a revised version of the 2.8liter V6, producing 170hp and achieving a fuel efficiency of 10.5l/100km.
