Koolkei's Let's Play - Underground 2 Trivias Playthrough

i just started, like my very first ‘serious’ youtube video ever.
and i would like some help and feedback with.

so tell me what you think, and if you have something in mind?

so. problems i’d like to resolve:

  • most important. i know, the sound quality is pretty much just pure noise
i am looking for a new mic to resolve this, or at least alleviate this. and along with my research i want some feedback form you guys.
but here’s the dillemma. i don’t know how serious into youtube i want to go, since i’m just fooling around trying something new, i’m not sure how much money i want to throw into it. but i don’t throw SOME money, it’s just utter garbage. but too much is a waste of cash, meanwhile. market demand and brand name blows prices of good mics like balloons. like up to 4x the original price before imported. so. a couple of contender
  • generic name ‘SF-920’ for about $15-ish. heard some reviews it’s “MEH, good enough for the price”
  • takstar TCM-370 it’s $20 but it’s still a clip on. what’s nice is, it’s at least a unidirectional mic so noise goes DOWN
  • Samson Go Mic Direct not the normal Go Mic, that shit’s price is too inflated. but is super reluctant to buy this one. the best, but also the priciest, and since it’s the ‘direct’ i need to use a usb extension cable to put it anywhere close to my mouth, and i don’t know if that would deteriorate the quality.
  • i need some idea for intro and outro.

Well, I use an iPhone 5 for a microphone on my webcast material. It’s a $2 app called Pocket Audio. I really couldn’t understand anything you were saying on yours.

you do a webcast?
anyway. i might need to give this a shot later. my phone mic. 60cents mic + asian accent is a horrible combination :stuck_out_tongue:

Your accent is not so much the issue as we can’t hear and make sense of a damn sound you’re making

I turned on Youtube’s closed captions to maybe help understand more clear.

“you’ll have to go to care products channel”

Hey guys, this is Care Products speaking.

yup. noice…
how the fuck did ‘killrob’ turn into ‘car products’ lol

i do voice chat on games, but not actual webcasts, no.

okay. since this is only the first episode i’m holding off. on releasing more. maybe i’ll just restart it.

but i’ll make a test of ‘current mic with different positions’ and phone mic. and if neither is enough, then i’ll buy a dedicated mic.

does my phone mic sounds somewhat better?

private video…

try again? i meant to put it as unlisted. not private. derp

There’s still some serious gain and peaking but your phone mic sounds infinitely better

i noticed my phone mic no matter how i edit it, it just can’t go when the source file already has it. i either need to keep enough distance to my phone, or, just keep my voice down a bit.

and so. i think i’ll try making a short vid as a test run later

It is a lot better with the phone. With my app, the mic sensitivity adjustment is the volume on my iphone.

the mic on my phone just died…
welp, essentially, my phone just died… my phone just stopped being a phone.

so i need an actual dedicated mic if i want to keep going then.

suggestions?

so. new mic. thoughts?

It seems you’re all set to do new recordings

yup. and since it turns out that the mic have a ‘noise gate’ built in, i don’t have to wait until the perfect moment to record. so more recording time

2nd episode

i need to figure out how to pick up the pace. 1 ep per week is too long.

also what do you think about the background musics?
