So me and koolkei had a battle of steering types. I just recently got AssCo, and wanted to do the same bus downhill drive, but I couldn’t get the mods to work. So prompted by a comment by @Sillyworld, me and Koolkei had a challenge. Both of us, in the same car, in the same track, see who’s faster. One on keyboard steering, and one on mouse steering. Watch and find out how it goes:

What you’re watching is my second drive ever around this circuit.
It’s my first try at making an actual YouTube-worthy content. Audio was recorded on my phone. So things for me to improve for next time:

  • don’t misspell Trento Bondone lol
  • live reactions are better than mindless, off topic comments on a replay
  • need to tweak the graphics settings for better framerate in recordings, I easily get 35-40 in game

Anything else?

I have PS2 controllers and ordered a $3 PS2 to USB converter so if nothing jinxes it, I should be playing with a controller by next video. Anyway, how is my video? :smile:

Lololol keyboard steering went about as well as expected. Can I join in on this? I got fraps and an internet connection and mouse steering. But not sure how to record the live reactions, just use mic in fraps too?

I record live commentary using my phone’s free-hands set (or whatever is called in english), if that helps anyone.

So far
Keyboard — 0
Mouse — 1

(but I think koolkei’s lap was smoother)

@koolkei I pretty much use it like manual and with no clutch, so let’s call it a sequential gearbox :stuck_out_tongue: I don’t know how to set up damage and i didn’t touch the track or car setups

looks like it’s the Audi S1. If Ram didn’t touch the car setup then it’s running semi slicks. I’m going to take the liberty of fiddling with the settings but I imagine it’s more realistic to use road tyres so that’s what I’ll do.

so i have a lot free time lately. so i went and find some new games. mostly indie games. decided this could be an interesting series. just finding new games and giving it a shot. and if i really like it. maybe do a series on it.

so 1st game on the list.

let’s play as a sloth driving a car that’s trying to go back to it’s tree where it used to HANG out :wink:

Haha yeah I know I saw the premise and gameplay and immediately thought of Flash :joy: except somehow Flash drives wheels with a bit more… Go in it.
