Maesima-Saminda Collaboration to Deliver Brand Halo Sports Cars
Auxuras and Sachiuri revealed the first teaser sketch of a new sports car shown above with the only text reading: “Once perfection is achieved, you can just double it.”
Maesima and Saminda have revealed more details of the partnership that will see the two global automotive giants collaborate on a pair of new sports cars and technology.
Having signed binding agreements, Maesima Motor Corporation and Saminda Motor Company have already announced joint research into future lithium-ion battery cell technology.
“We aim to achieve high performance with this new sports car while maintaining our leading position in sustainable future technologies,” said a Saminda spokesperson.
Maesima said the two car makers could take advantage of each other’s strengths with the partnership.
“We know how to develop fun to drive sports cars…I believe one of Saminda’s strength is in environmentally friendly hybrids and battery technology,” said CEO of Maesima USA Operations Robert Cue. “I’m really excited thinking about the cars that will result from this partnership.”
The vehicles are expected to be built at Maesima’s main US production facilities is in Decatur, Alabama. The Maesima Manufacturing Assembly Plant Alabama, Inc. (MMAPAL). Which is currently undergoing a $500 million dollar expansion to produce the new sports car.
Maesima’s version be the halo vehicle for the new luxury division Sachiuri. Although in markets where the Sachiuri marque is unavailable it is still expected to be sold as a Maesima where it will sit above the MRZ-3 coupe in its lineup, while the Saminda version will be sold as Auxuras Arrow in the USA, While a Saminda version is expected in the Japanese market.
The companies have revealed little about the sports cars other than that they will “combine each other’s technology at a high level to maximise customer satisfaction”.
The teaser sketch suggests the new sports car will draw inspiration from the popular Maesima Dynamic Racing Vision Concept car unveiled earlier this year.
Expect to see both joint-venture sports cars in showrooms by the end of 2017.
