Mondial Paris Motor Show 2018 (Mondial de l'Automobile Paris)

@asami? Is something wrong?

Funny you said only 700hp, but still very impressive car, also, saying “only” and 700“+” contradict each other

Best teaser incoming:

That’s a lot of mysteries

@asami because having a luxury car that is 30l/100km isnt useful so i decide to provide a big engine with a performance/fuel consumption ratio .And 386hp is great for modern luxury car.Just look at Mercedes S class that comes with engines that are powerful and fuel efficient as my 5.4 v10,(just as the s400 or s450).regards

The S450 has a V6, and it’s the base model, that almost makes as much power as your V10, with much better economy.

NEFZ economy ratings were unrealistic. WLTP is not 100% implemented yet, but fuel economy ratings will get worse.

@asami yes but HA put a V10 in it and it has great economy.Do you have problem with that ? :sunglasses:

Now it is a 3.0 inline 6

@david59635 no one said they have a problem. We were just asking y put a v10 with 386 hp and cAll it “eco” when you can get a v6 to make that much power and get more economy if you want even more economy

@Holts i dont want even more economy HA just want to put a 5.4 v10 without busting the bank when you refuel it thats all.For remember EcoTron is my label when an engine is fuel efficient enough.

The LLA Conference

inside one of the conference rooms a stage not yet lit is surrounded by a crowd of petrolheads and journalists. On stage the silhouette of 3 cars can be clearly made out, a mid-sized coupe, a low slung sports car and a hatchback. Slowly a figure walks on stage - a spotlight flashes on reviling the identity of the figure - a grey haired male in his late fifties - Luke Prior Junior, the CEO of LLA and the Son of the firms founder.

Lights flicker on to reveal the 3 cars on stage, showing them in all their glory

The CEO gives the crowd some time to appreciate the cars before making his final speach

Welp. The cat is out of the box. Gotta do a real reveal now.

FAALdisplay

The Foreia is FAAL’s oldest nameplate, tracing all the way back to 1949 and solid axles ladder frames, and it has never stopped being on sale from then on. Since the 8th generation just so happens to go on sale on the 70th anniversary of the nameplate, the badging has been made to be reminiscent of the first model. Which is why “FAAL” is spelled on the front bumper in big, yet discreet lettering, and “Foreia” is spelled in spaced letters underlined by a single chrome line, just like on the 1949 models. Apart from those cues, the car is a beautiful piece of design, with flowing lines and a nice feeling interior with the latest embarked tech.

The 2019 Mk8 Foreia will be on display at the FAAL stand, in three different models. Two diesels, and one petrol powered unit.

  • The mid trim Thema, with the 2.2L inline 4 150hp turbodiesel 15TDE. Mated to a 6 speed manual, it gets 4.4L/100 (NEDC).

  • The luxury trim Iridium, with the 3.0L inline 5 200hp turbodiesel 20TDE. Boasting creme leather seats, dashboard with faux cedar wood inserts and the brand new FAALBond V4 with the 10 speaker Concert Hall upgrade from Hermann&Gordon. It’s also fitted with the new 8 speed automatic S-tronic gearbox, which includes TETRA All Wheel Drive.

  • The obligatory sporty-looking-but-not-sporty trim, TT-line. Featuring half bucket leather seats with body coloured inserts, 19 inch alloys, faux carbon fiber window trim and mirrors, and black roof. This one gets the 2.5L inline 5 250hp turbo petrol 25TFE, also with the 8 speed S-tronic and TETRA.

Also, two cars will be given to journalists to drive during press days. Both of which are petrol powered. If the display cars are what people want to buy, the Press cars are what FAAL wants people to buy.

FAALdisplay2

The FAAL Coupe Mk. X (or just Mk. X for enthusiasts), is a sportscar that traces its roots all the way back to the seventies, where it was a cheap, 115hp RWD light car which eventually gave birth to the TETRA lineup that was going to be highly successful in both rallying and being FAAL’s testbed for new tech. It made a comeback in 2014, to tickle the whole sportscar market from the GT86 to the BMW M4, rejoicing FAAL enthusiasts who were missing a dedicated FAAL sports car ever since 1988.

It will be the first car to be given the “Mk8 Foreia” treatment to unify the brand’s visual identity. Front and rear fascia have been revised to meet the new visual standards and light signatures of the brand. Engines have been revised too: All three “normal” options gain from 5 to 10hp compared to outgoing models.

Two models will be on display at the FAAL Stand:

  • A 20TFE base model, featuring an updated 1.5L turbo inline 3 with 205hp (+5), in Ginster Yellow optional paint.
  • A 30TFE high end model, featuring an updated 2.5L turbo inline 5 with 310hp (+10. Also, same block as the Foreia 25TFE), in Tetra Blue paint, which is normally only available on special demand except on TT-I models.

And one press car will be available for journalists to try out during the press day:

-a 2019 Mesaia TT-I with optional bucket seats, Tetra blue
-a 2019 Tasia Iridium, 11TFE, Pearl White
-a 2019 Tasia GTI, Tetra Blue
-a 2019 Stavros TT-Line 20TDE, Thunderstorm Grey
-a 2019 Dima X Thema in two tone paint, Ruby Red body and Pearl White roof
-two 2019 Dima Thema with the Color+ package which allows for body coloured seat inserts and dash inserts. One 11TFE Oak Green, one 9TFE Ginster Yellow.
