1200-1400 and mostly RWD to save weight. Adding extra power does not produce extra real results at this point, due to traction issues, and cooling requirements, and to solve the traction you need AWD, and that’s once again weight, the loop closes. So in short - you need as much power as you can put through the rear wheels reliably.
To see this clearly - in Kee, there are a few cars that are in the 6:16 - 6:18 or so on the ring. They’re all sub 1400hp and RWD, and the fastest EVER car out there is somewhere around 6:13 mark, so make the conclussions yourself

Ekhm… Mine is AWD and a bit under 1600 hp And yeah, I could probably get the same result from RWD and a bit less power, if I only knew how to properly tune RWD cars

Props to you for figuring out how to fill out the rear! I had the same idea for the tail lights based off the Saleen S5 Raptor but couldn’t figure out how to get around the curve at the top. I suck at making modern cars haha. Looks good!
Those last two designs look the part, and have performance to match. In particular, I dig the taillight loop on the Ryujin.
UE4 has basically zero in-game bugs for me but it crashes so often and for seemingly no reason (eg I move the camera, game crashes, the next day it’s something else) that it’s become almost impossible to create a car without being frustrated to the point that I just give up. I deduced in the previous versions that it was down to post-processing being set too high, and this fixed the problem, but now it’s back.
It amazes me that these random crashes, which I have been having since the UE4 game was released, were fixed in the update before this one, and came back in the car designer overhaul as if they weren’t even acknowledged.
It has been 218 days since Open Beta R1 was released. I’m afraid that at this point it’s unacceptable, even for an open beta. This is more of an open alpha, especially since the actual core intended gameplay (campaign) hasn’t even been implemented yet.
So don’t expect any new cars until a hotfix rolls around for a bug that has existed for 8 months.

Can you please post the Specifications of your PC? (Processor, Windows version etc) That could help to narrow it down somewhat. If the game crashes randomly we have to fix it, also i hope you always send the BugSplats?
Also: What also could be is some derelict files causing a bit of a hiccup. Go to your \Documents\My Games\Automation folder and clear all the settings.lua and maybe the .db files (attention, you may lose your cars and engine, so dont if you dont want to - its optional) then go to C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\AutomationGame\ and delete the Saved folder completely.
That way you practically reset the game to “Day 0”, which could possibly help if there is some file laying around from OpenBeta Day1 that causes an issue on Day218.

Sorry to hear you’re getting a bunch of crashes, I suspect the reason we’ve not acknowledged/fixed this bug, is I don’t think it’s one that anyone has reported to us, and it seems like it might be relatively rare.

We know about the current random crash issue. The issue is deep in UE4 that we have been working with Epic trying to solve it for the last 2 months.
The main issue with this crash is we cannot replicate it in house. Some people get afflicted by it really badly. Others never see it (unfortunately like us). From that data I have gathered, it seems to affect about 3% of Play Sessions.
Back in Early November, I did send out an email to all people who had bug reported it and provided an email address in the Bug report. Thanking them for reporting the issue, and explaining that we are working on it.
In the UE4 Open Beta Discussion Thread had also several back and forths with @Radializer who also gets this issue, building a specific version to try and log and pin point the issue.
I am working on the issue, I am also working on the rest of the game as well. And try to progress with the issue as we get more data on it.
