We just updated the game to the first release candidate version. The plan is to see if this is working well and then release it to the public a bit later if that is the case.
Check it out
This update is going really well. Keep up the good work!
This will be my one section for feedback, I’ll edit and update it as I go.
Applause:
V-6 Sounds awesome. Although I think it might be WAY too loud, as a full exhaust and OEM style intake the car sounds like an uncorked race motor? Intentional?
Bugs:
Harmonic Balancer isn’t centered on the V-6 crankshaft center-line
Hey guys! Everything loaded just fine for me, but I’ve noticed something really strange. I decided to load a car I was going to submit for a challenge on here, after I clicked a certain button on the top left-hand corner of the car selection screen, but when it loaded, I immediately noticed something really off: this was a car for 1966, and yet everything was listed as 2020…worse yet, the car no longer has an engine in it! Hope you guys can fix this bug soon, it sounds like it could be a real problem…

^This. 231-V6 with twin-straight on dual exhaust with short-cast header and it is 2-3x the volume of my SBC-400 with twin-straight mufflers using long-tube headers in the same exact car when going around the track. At the very least, as far as the loudness of the engines, they should sound the same?
Had another issue with the Workshop today; when I opened it, similar to the last incident, I was able to get the Workshop to load, but when I tried getting to the Mods section(I assumed there might have been new additions, per Steam downloading a 64kb or so update for the game), I was unable to progress any further, and I could not click on any of the Xs to close the browser window. I was at least able to exit the game by clicking on the “Quit Game” button(as it wasn’t totally blocked!), but this is definitely a problem that could be a bit of a detriment to gameplay…just so you guys are aware.
I’m getting a weird bug where my car doesn’t save the trim (despite multiple uses of the save button) and won’t allow me to take screenshots (using the in-game camera)
Here is a screenshot of the car after I exit and re-load it…
And this an in-game screenshot of a test car, using the same body, WITHOUT the bug (it was literally built just before the above-mentioned car) and it is body morphed to the same level…
EDIT: Every time I open this car it corrupts my game. 25 files need to be re-validated every time after the car is accessed (but I don’t know which ones).
Any reason for why you had to do that? What happened that broke your game?
See the post above the one you’ve quoted, Mr Killrob, as I’ve got a weird bug where 20mm of rear wheel spacing is added to the car every time I opened the file. The in-game camera won’t take screenshots of the car but the error isn’t in the body; the same body with the same morphs works perfectly fine in a seperate instance ( I made the test car and bugged car straight after each other)
While I know you can access the workshop on Automation in the steam version, I tried to do so on the stand alone and well, nothing happens.
I’m wondering if I did something wrong or something went wrong (or a bit of both and stuff I don’t know)…and I ask of course cause like many a user, used some mods on some models and till I get em, it’ll be a while till I can fully work on some cars.
I looked the new function to copy the trim design in the main design: why can’t make the inverse (copy a main design in the trim)? Because some times, the fixtures from main design isn’t in the trim.
