Open Beta: Suspension & Dynamics (B1322)

another minor bug, if you flip the Subaru Impreza style bonnet scoop you get a triangular hole in the bonnet just in front of the scoop.

edit
in the Kazakh sports car challenge for some reason there is no option for heavy cast pistons

thank you for fixing the engine sizes
With the VW golf engine I found a little bit of possibly misaligned linkages from the gearbox to the front wheels. also, when you manually move the suspension the linkage from the gearbox to the front wheels will clip through the suspension at its furthest traavel

Again, minor stuff, but better reported than not

I’m pretty much satisfied and truly admire the dev team’s energy to keep the updates pumping up, thank you guys!!

BTW, I’ve found an another bug in the latest B1322 edition. When you create a platform e.g. “Platform A”, and create 2 different models of “Platform A”, which each model has different weight, then load up one of them will have a weight of another model.
e.g, You make 2 models of a same platform, (let’s say, “MA” which has a weight of 900kg and “MB”, 950kg.) then choose “MA” and press “revise model” button. you’ll get a weight of “MB”, 950kg…

Is it just for me?

That is probably due to the “Total Weight” slider not being loaded correctly, statman  we’ll look into it!

I don´t know if i´m in the right place, but, when we change something on a previously saved platform, i.e. the color, we loose all the models previously saved… i think it would be great if we could change the color in the models section too, because it would not affect the car´s specs, and it would be more practical…

Cheers!

That problem goes a bit deeper, 8bs. We won’t be able to fix that in this update, but it will be possible in the finished Car Designer.

yes, in the finished car designer would be great. Keep up the great work, cheers!

DamDamDaaaa… another bug.

ugly openings @ the alfa GTV body.

Just incase anybody else has the issue of crashing on pressing ‘Play’ in the launcher, I have found a solution:

It seems the new sountrack is not compatible with 5.1 Surround sound (on my system anyway). When I turn to stereo speaker configuration on my Realtek HD Audio Manager, Automation works!

A massive relief after trying to get it to work for days, I had almost given up. Great job on the update, especially obsessed by the MPG calculation as that is in my line of work

Another bug for you. It happened when I built and tested this engine for the first time. Engine file attached

cant seem to recreate the bug though
3.0L XP 32V DOHCRev0.lua (45 KB)

edit
My knowledge of engines is pretty much 0 so i could very well be wrong here, but on the crossplane V8 it looks like there is supposed to be one gold coloured circle next to each cylinder, but two are missing. Is it supposed to look like this or is it a bug?

A bit of a bigger bug this time, none of the tests worked at all. sadly I cant save the model, but I have the platform and the engine saved. i fiddled with various model settings and it didnt seem to make a difference. I think this happened because the platform didn’t save properly, since there was no preview picture of the platform

Platform: Sports transverse mount - Rev - 0.lua (22 KB)
Engine: FWD Max Power MIRev0.lua (72.2 KB)

Minor art bug: the exhaust manifold of turbocharged, straight-6, pushrod engines is misaligned. I tried replicating it with other cylinder head combinations, but it seems to be just the pushrod heads. (Build 1322)

This bug only works if you select the pushrod heads FIRST. I find that if you select a different set of heads (DOHC, SOHC, or DAOHC), and THEN re-select pushrods, it will “correct” itself.

Slim Jim EDIT: Added to pivotal…
