this feels a lot like a Jaguar
You may be right. It basically answers a burning question I had in mind for this challenge: What if the XJ40/X300/X308 XJ (which stayed in production on the same platform for 17 years) had come out a few years later, with the V8 engine it shouldâve had from the start, and wrapped up in a body whose front end was not as retro-futuristic as that found on the actual X300? As such, itâs slightly smaller and lighter than its competitors - the Sport package leverages that with a viscous LSD, a lower ride height, and slightly firmer springs and anti-roll bars.
I also got some Mondeo vibes from the styling, so a shrunken down one would maybe be a good example of how an X-type could have looked one generation earlier.
I couldâve imagined a Scorpio Mk2 with a similar shape, but without the frog-like nose it had in real life. Matter of fact, my entry also reminds me of what the S-Type wouldâve looked like had it come out a few years earlier - without the overtly retro styling that split opinion at launch.

No rush, still plenty of time just touching base.
Great looking field so far.
Itâs been a while since Iâve heard from Pusilanime, but the wait has been worth it - this is what a real '90s American land yacht should look like. The amount of work you put in to distort the base body set (which I suspect is the '87 Boat) mustâve been enormous, but it paid off in the end.
The 1992 SM48.5 Danazine S
The SM40 series Danazine is back for its last update, bringing even more technology to a car thatâs still cutting edge, even after 14 years.
The Planar Electronic Information System (PEIS) returns, now as an advanced multi-segment LCD display in the centre of the dash, powered by an advanced 68000 based computer. With a section that can display up to two lines of 11 column text, used for information and diagnostics, sections for fuel and temperature, indicators, a large warning section, and a digital odometer with multiple trip displays. The PEIS screen, along with multiple illuminated warning lights and the illuminated dials sit behind tinted plastic, to create the feeling of looking at a dash screen with floating information.
The SM48.5 Danazineâs as feisty as ever, with the iconic Rotomax RXO78 now making 172kW, and the advanced automatic transmission and standard LSD making driving it easy and engaging.
But the SM48.5 is no slouch on comfort, either, with our latest PASSv.2 suspension ensuring that the Danazine continues to glide over bumps, while our handmade interiors are as good as ever and ensure youâre never uncomfortable.
Available now for $48,300, call your nearest Planar dealer for more information and to book a test drive.

I had an issue with one of the cars
(already resolved the issue just wanted to share because it was such a weird thing).
It imported as alsi block with cast iron heads, a two speed advanced auto geared to over 200mph, and its cost was 92k for what ever reason
Thanks for all the entries I will try to have everything wrapped up by the end of the week!

Sometimes, you need something dependable. New isnât always better â something unpredictable can leave you with an empty wallet and a downtrodden expression. Mariner, of course, is as reliable as ever. A mid-size package with full-size equipment, the GranLuxe trim is available for your driving pleasure for 1992. Featuring a silky-smooth V8, high-quality leather interior and CD sound system with 6-disc changer and full surround suite, and elegant white-strip tires to accentuate the classy lines youâd be right to expect from a Newman. And with such a boldly competitive price, why settle for less?
Update : Spent the day in hospital with my spouse weâre not sure whatâs going on still. If you know how American ERs are you know how this goes.
But worry not. Iâve got the numbers and style reviews done, so Iâm still near the schedule I set provided nothing else pops up.
Thanks.
Dont worry, as long as its no QFC, everything up to two weeks is totally reasonable.
Quality over speed, and personal life can always happen.
Wishing you two the best, Donât worry about us! Life comes first.

Well styled square American sedan with a nice factory two tone option. good looking grill and headlight assembly.
Over all a solid choice, fuel mileage is bellow the class average but a solid engine and torque band make driving enjoyable.

Mixed styling. for the younger demographic the aggressive sporty look will make its mark and draw them into the show room. The older crowd how ever will most likely look past this one with its smooth sport luxury styling.
The styling is let down by the lack of sportiness from the chassis, but lets face it thatâs not why youâre buying a luxury sedan, and the V12 makes enough beautiful sounds to let you forget about it body roll.

The body is nearing the end of its life span even with a face lift, but who doesnât love flip up and down head lights? the fender mounted mirrors are another odd styling que for this generation of sedans, but what really drove me crazy is the way these wipers battle each other in the rain, or the nasty sound they make slapping each other in heavy rain. the extended glass at the rear of the roof does a good job keeping the rear window clear of rain while driving.
The flat 6 stands out in the crowd of V series engines, in fact thereâs only 2 non V series engines in the entire market for 1992. The 3.8L F6 has a great powerband that makes traversing traffic a breeze.

the designer went to town on making a uncommon looking sedan, the high rear deck to the beautiful prominent front grill. This shows like a long running series of auto luxury cars where theyâve been refined and trimmed into something special over the decades.
Worst Fuel economy, and worst emissions but it has the best service cost of the class.

The designer of the Fenix graduated from a German college and celebrated but doing a tour of Italy before designing this thing. (at least thatâs what we are inclined to say) its European designed body is kissed with Italian flare . From its grill to the side panels and back to the rear aero work. the massive moon roof shouldnât go on this car, and yet it pulls it off and makes the whole cabin feel more open.
Has best in class environmental protection

Another fresh looking entry. This one has European flair and very well thought out design through out its body work. One of the more powerful entries with itâs 5L V12 with 365HP, we doubt youâll get bored of driving this entry any time soon.

A good looking modern sedan with the essence of luxury, it has everything you want when you donât want to stand out in a crowd of other luxury cars.
The V6 provides ample power while leaving the sound of a V8 some where lost in time, this isnât a bad thing however as the V6 has great exhaust sounds of its own

This is styled in the direction we feel the automotive scene is moving towards, less big square bodies and more sleek rounded body lines. We donât really have anything to complain about here, except the market may not be ready for the new age style. Time will tell on this one.

Thatâs the first half done Iâll have the other half out later today.
All the cars for this event were great quality and pretty accurate for the timeline from power, to the weight, and even rims sizes so thanks to everyone for following the brief so well and not submitting 600HP 2006 Honda accords on 26" rims.
