Pre-wedge era supercar (Download added)

The car is now finished. Because the zip file contains both a wing and a car, it needs to be unzipped in ~/Automation/assets/meshes.

Edit: Fixed thumbnails.

Looking nice!

I must make a car using this body. MUST.

I already have a line up of fantasy engines to plop in that body, now its just the waiting game :-p

AW YISS.

Hmm, I was hoping it’d look more similar to the real thing but eh, beggars can’t be choosers.

Perhaps it’ll have proper morphs to make it more closely resemble the real life 330 P4?

There will be modifiers on the fenders, wheel arches, the panels, and the roof. The P4 is a purpose-built race car, and something that looks just like it would be a waste of time. Moreover, it has to match the details (radiator placement, and so on) of the preexisting chassis.

Updated picture. Some refinement on the shape is needed; then I can make the windows and the doors properly.

looking gooooooooooooood

Honestly it looks a lot better than I had imagined from the initial rough photo.

Skexy.

Real nice man! This is some good stuff!

The first one was no more than a few polygons that had been smoothed, to give a very rough draft.

Any hint on what size engine bay it will have? As it stands we really don’t have any mid-engined bodies that will fit large displacement engines that aren’t V8’s.

Loving this so far

Really nice work!
The new picture looks a bit like an evolved version of the Lamborghini Miura.

ÂżThis Miura would you say? (more info in this page: carscoops.com/2011/01/ebay-find-luigi-colanis-1970.html)

In the small 1980’s mid-engined car (one of my favourite cars in the game), you can mount a 3.3 l i6 if you mount it traverse and use MacPherson struts instead of double wishbones. Most mid-engined cars with larger engines have V or boxer layouts, though.

Still though, I’m wanting to guess this will have an engine bay around the same size as that of the modern mid-engined super car?

I’ll try to aim for 5-6 liter V8 with the largest turbo options in the engine bay. Might be hard to cool down an engine that size, though.

How it looks so far.
