Anyway was definitely a fun challenge to design for.

Thanks to @vero94773 for being an amazing host and being super quick on the turnaround.
Congrats @iivansmith and @Oreology for taking the win, well deserved.

Top 5, not bad. Design is always my weak point. I’m curious how many from the finalists are RWD with a staggered wheel setup? I insisted on going square and had to sacrifice some comfort to get drivability up without having too much camber or toe, which would have increased service cost

looking back through my notes, the only RWD finalists were yourself, ritz, vouge/tsundere, and tex/kyorg

of those, none ran a staggered setup and ran square tires all around, you however ran the widest tires all around at 245s

So my engineering was just sub-optimal then. Good to know. Were the rest AWD or FWD?

the rest were AWD, yeah

I don’t think a 7th is anything to sneeze at.

Also, not that I’d think it would happen, but I would be happy to host the next QFC if all of 2nd to 6th aren’t able to.

If the rest of the top 10 can’t host the next round, I’ll take the reins.

Thanks for the quality round from Vero once again! Me and Vouge will be passing the hosting down to @Texaslav and @Kyorg.

Yeah I can do it. First, though, I have a choice to make and I may need the community’s advice.

See, I think that with the likely challenge-ready Patch 7 looming, and with Patch 6 already containing many enhancements and improvements to the car design flow, I think it’d be nice to run a challenge on it to see what works and what doesn’t in the new version. A QFC is well-suited to this sort of experiment because it’s meant for newer players to troubleshoot and learn anyhow.

At the same time, I am aware that not all is well in this version - some have reported fixture placement issues, and superchargers’ downsides (weight, cost, svc) are not properly implemented. Thus, I am launchign an advisory poll to see what y’all think. Do we stay on Ellisbury, try Al Rilma Patch 6 but without superchargers, or do we go all in on the new version? Keep in mind that I reserve the right to manually balance blowers if we do end up using them.

  • Stick to stable/Ellisbury Build
  • Try Al Rilma, but with no superchargers
  • Try Al Rilma with superchargers

Hey, even though I’m out in the first round I’m not dead last. That’s an improvement, right?

I learned there are more screens, like the details stats screen which gives useful information like costs
