2016 AAA Argosy Cargo 2.0
All the cargo van you need for $22.8k AMU - enough for 12 vehicles in your $275k budget.

That’s the exact same type and size of engine I settled on for my entry - I was able to get 30 (US) MPG and WES 11 compatibility out of it, even with a six-speed advanced automatic transmission hooked up to it, in a ~1.6t cargo van, although the body set in which I fitted it has a narrow engine bay when used for a transverse-engined platform (a 3.0L V6 with the same bore/stroke measurements is actually more compact). It still fits within such a small space, though.
That Dash looks like a probable rival to my Argosy Cargo Van… Especially with its on-demand AWD system (which makes it more expensive), but makes it even easier to drive (as does its smaller size, as the screenshots lead me to assume, although my entry counters with more cargo space).
It was like pulling teeth to enter this with awd. I entered with awd AND a cvt, knowing good and damn well the cvt choice didnt help my last few entries. I only went this short of a wheelbase because i got the chance to drive a Ford Transit Connect for a couple months. For a cargo van, it felt like a go-cart, sharp and precise handling…underpowered as shit. Nice sound sytem too.
That’s not the case with my entry - I chose a basic infotainment system, seeing that anything fancier for a utility van would be overkill. Besides, I was able to attain >80 drivability (a boon for this segment) even without AWD or a CVT, just some clever suspension and gear ratio tuning. And not having either of those also keeps costs down. Still, the Dash’s smaller size makes it easier for its driver to place on the road, or perform a tricky maneuver in a confined space.
Tarquini Freccia FPU
An Italian van built by the Germans. It’s reliable, cheap to maintain and it takes you to wherever you need to go. What more could you want?
2016 VerBanka Trent FleetVan
Yes, it was decided that this is what will be entered afterall. It is rather brave experiment and…we are aware it might be out of its breath in certain scenarios. But, we do recall certain German competitor offering engine of similar characteristics just few years earlier. They may have discontinued it by now for few years, but it still allows us to sleep at night that much easier.
And before you say they might be inexperienced, they very much aren’t: their offering in this class is in its 6th generation atm and that 2.0 engine of theirs we mentioned was offered in 5th. But that’s fundamentally still about the same vehicle underneath anyway…
According to our calculations, you could fit 13 of these in your budget.
Also, it chugs below 7 liters of fuel every 100 km, which might help as well
Service costs are below 1003..whatever this currency is.

Diana @That-S-cop : Management of Operations at HHH
Wade @chiefzach2018 : Maintenance office intern at HHH
Diana: So the Mara dealership came up with this offer for 15 units for fleet services
Wade: It’s an SUV that that isn’t better than the existing Pilot Van at being an SUV or a Van with poorer visibility.
Diana: Aww it’s cute. might be difficult to put a livery on 14 of these though.
Wade: Seems like a great car! Proceeds to plug Scarlet Fire into the Aux at full volume and thus blows out the poor speakers
Diana: Oh no… It’s their demonstrator Wade!!
Diana: Is there actually a model name for this?
Wade: It’s quick though, due to the tyres..
Diana: It feels cheap in here… but the sticker price means we can get only 10 of these..
Wade: the Alouette we tried was cheaper and felt better.
Diana: Is this supposed to be a premium car or a fleet car?
Diana: Well.. it seems sparsely equipped for the segment.. and yet it has a unit price that makes me think it should have more features when we are getting 13 of them
Wade: Holy crap it has a sports car engine under here.. 4 throttles, no wonder why it sings.
Diana: It’s a bit gutless up top though, probably shouldn’t be staying up there with how it sounds..
Wade: Not that it can stay up there, the manual gearbox is half overdrives and could do with a localised suspension tune
Diana: Objectively as a van.. it’s holds stuff good but it doesn’t feel as confident keeping itself upright, considering we seem to be lacking an ESC Light.. just a TCS one.
Wade: Turbo isn’t making a healthy noise though, and to access to the transmission and axles we have a really expensive piece in the way.
Diana: Nice interior however, though for 12 of these.. that sort of hassle doesn’t seem worth it.
Diana: Peppy little thing isn’t it?
Wade: It’s AWD, has ITBs, and I think it’s got a performance differential set in it.
Diana: For 12 of these with a premium interior, it’s got an odd rattle to it?
Diana: Really? AAA is a brand? Granted all things considered it’s a rather safe vehicle according to the ratings. it’s a bit much to see out of it however with how far back the seats seem to be and how high we ride.
Wade: We get 12 of these in the budget, and the Trent felt better in stop and go traffic, dead reliable though this thing.
Diana: Similar upfront costs to the Argosy giving us 12 units, better frontal visibility. It’s a semi competent wagon on the inside
Wade: That is a really big rough inline 5 though.. you can feel it in the drivetrain. It would be a more competent wagon if it had ESC.
Diana: It’s really nice on the inside, it’s got amazing visibility, amazing safety, it’s a bit on the expensive side though, with the dealership running us 10 units and being short of budget.
Wade: High feature, high cost.. and the quoted servicing costs are high compared to everything else on our list.
Diana: What an oddball this fella is, Amazing fuel economy, we get 13 units, somewhat comfortable, good visibility… changes character though when you punch it however.
Wade: Well considering it came with launch control and apparently the rotating assembly is all forged, the engine looks like a sports car block with an economy iron head put on it.. Yeah it’s a different animal underneath than what it is on the top. Surprisingly good Service costs despite all that however.
Diana: Well this dealership really wanted this sale.. 11 Units of a chassis cab Barramundi.
Wade: I don’t see much of an issue than the fact it’s got slightly different tyre widths at the front and the back.. and the undertray goes to the rear frame rails for some reason.
Diana: That and it’s on 6 lug wheels.. which is overkill for this category.
Don’t build a car in 3 hours people

How do the Barramundi’s dimensions compare to a short-bed 4wd Hilux, which uses 6-bolt wheels?
(Or to the second inspiration, which I can’t identify)
Ah, so Utility didn’t refer to the Utility in SUV but to pickup / Ute bodies? Gotcha.
