Performance
RJM released the 35R to the public eye at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Debuting a new generation of crossplane V8s, the 35R outputs a robust 606 HP and 416 lb-ft. With an electronic differential and a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission, 0 to 100 km/h is dealt with in a scant 3.4 seconds. An aluminium chassis, carbon panels, and weight-saving interior materials including a special synthetic Alcantara of which is 67% lighter than standard leather keeps the weight of the 35R under 1600 kgs. Magnetorheological dampers come standard on all 35R’s, along with RJM’s 3rd-generation Super-Control Grip Regulator (S-CGR) advanced traction control system. With the ability to modulate the suspension settings over 5 distinct disciplines and all within 1/2000 of a second, the 35R is prepared to handle any situation. Tuned at our Yeongam and Swinderby proving grounds, the 35R has not only been proven as a naturally sharp and responsive machine over numerous districts, but it has also beaten every road car track record from any production V8 RJM which is no small feat. With precision tuning and a perfect touch, the 35R is a supercar that showcases the technology and emotions, defining our company.
Design and Ergonomics
RJM displays a clear design ethos that permeates the rest of our lineup. With a wide and low stance, the 35R combines the historical proportions of British sports cars with modern Korean style. Aggressive fascias inspired by mythical Korean beings such as Bulgasari and Haetae along with a ferocity that is expected of a super sports machine. With an angular front fascia and distinctive, glaring headlights, the 35R makes a strong first impression. Flowing through the sides and into the rear uncovers an equally aggressive rear dominated by a carbon-fibre lower fascia and another sleek, angular rear that aids the engine’s cooling. The rear spoiler adjusts dynamically depending on the speed, with an unlimited amount of modulation allowing for a perfect amount of downforce at all speeds. Going on to the interior, an 11-speaker Burmester Sound System is standard along with an 7.5-inch infotainment screen and digital dashboard. The aforementioned Alcantara is luxurious and supple, with sports bucket seats keeping the driver and passenger in place.
