As i am preparing history of Saminda vehicles , i would like to post more details about this company (I know there are engine forum , but i would like to put everything in this thread)

The second gen seems a bit like the first gen Gyro I made. :slight_smile: I might want to work on it a bit more though.

Love the old Saminda , all about high revving fun little cars yet affordable , now Saminda is all about going green :neutral_face:

P.S : Please for godsake bring back the C3R or even C3 SR

#Saminda : the struggle in Europe

Everyone should be well known of Saminda Motor Co. , a Japanese multinational car company , is it far fetched to suggest that Saminda might eventually withdraw from the European market? That would be the worst possible scenario but where is the vision to prevent such a humiliation for this company, a global giant which keeps failing in EU markets?

In the U.S., the Japanese company can barely keep up with demand for models like the C3 , C5 , CR3 and the CR4 minivan , four of the top 10 best-selling cars in Japan are Saminda’s.

But the road is not entirely smooth for the Japanese carmaker. Saminda Motor Co. has suffered a serious breakdown in Europe. In fact the company reported a loss of nearly half a billion dollars in Britain and the Continent for the year ended in 2014 , Rivals for Saminda also logged losses, but Saminda’s were twice as big. That’s dragging down overall operating profits. “Our biggest worry is weak sales in Europe,” says CEO of Saminda Europe , Patrick Albert

Saminda has a very strong R&D facilities and they have reputation for producing the best quality engines around the world. The company’s brand is the 23th most valuable brand in the world valued at $21 billion said a automotive analyst.

Its sluggish sales in the region have forced the carmaker to cut production at the factory, which can crank out 230,000 vehicles annually. Last year, Saminda reduced its workforce at the UK plant by 1000. Because it closed one of the two assembly lines this year, the company has decided to shed an additional 340 jobs, some 10% of the remaining positions.

But here comes the good news , Saminda intends to make major moves to improve its performance in Europe in 2015. It plans to bring to the market its new small CR1, manufactured at its plant in Mexico, along with a new model of C4 R, Saminda’s flagship model for Europe.

#Auxuras to continue in UK

Auxuras is already having a hard time in the US , there is no doubt in the UK too. Its sales have fallen steadily since a peak year in 2003 selling only 35,000 units on 2014 but Yuko Nagoya , President and CEO of Saminda Motor Co., says he is often asked if Auxuras is ready to pull out of the UK market. “It never enters my mind,” he says.

Why can’t Saminda just bring their JDM and America model to Europe? the reason Saminda did so badly in Europe because they simply doesn’t care much . And their line-up looks boring for Europe

TBH , The C3 is very good looking and much cheaper compared to the Auxuras ITL . As a consumer why would i get the ITL when i can get the C3 :laughing:

#Saminda to close down Neomo , due to recent ignition massive recall which cost the Japanese automaker millions of dollar.

####It’s official , Saminda said it will close down Neomo this year , Saminda officially announced that it will effectively killing off the Neomo Asia brand started in 2012. Its first vehicles went on sale in Thailand in 2012, and included the Neo hatchback and Neo+ Mini-MPV. According to a release from Saminda, most Neomo models will be rebranded as Saminda starting of 2015 model year.

it’s going to go up directly against the Nissan Grand Livina and Suzuki Ertiga, and the brand new but bigger Honda Mobilio. it’s a pretty crowded market here.

except 1 thing. the price is near the top end of the price range.
the top trim of the nissan livina, the priciest offering here, is priced at around $18,000-$19,000

Yes , the market for car like this is very popular in Indonesia , so Saminda saw an opportunity to enter it , it’s quite successful.
