From 2003-2012… That is a lengthy quality control issue. Surely some extensive investigation into what decisions were made to produce such a deep crisis must have been undertaken. Was it an unforseen thing? Cost cutting? Top heavy administration or rapid expansion obscuring the engineering process transparency? This is beyond Takata levels of disaster.
Edit: in fact it’s nearly as big as VW emissions cheating disaster, considering that VW Diesel cars don’t kill you through crashing, but they still do kill people from respiratory complications of emissions.
At least now I have a justified reason to push the safety up in my own cars. I don’t want deaths on my hands because a runaway Saminda or Auxuras crashed head-on into one of mine. At least, after we fix the 1998 SymTrak issue. (Yes, I have some things planned out in advance.)
How did Saminda manage to hire all former staff from the GM, VW, Takata scandals? Let’s hope it hasn’t drained all the budget for that new RWD platform since they really can’t afford to do more cost cutting!
Unless you live in a system where workers cannot get fired and there is no such thing as economical competition, everyone should be sincere and engaged at their respective workplace.
oh, I wouldn’t quite go that far. Sometimes it’s not even the worker’s fault. I deal with Department of Human Services people a lot, they’re all little cogs in this giant mess of a wheel. Some of them get their asses whipped, and others somehow manage, due to some glitch in the bureaucracy further up the chain, to never get assigned anything and end up being paid to surf facebook for nine hours a day. The former end up stressed, the latter feel unappreciated. And nobody ever figures out who the hell that ‘further up the chain’ component is
