Saminda Motor Co - 1 Million RE Series 1.5 Turbo Engines Recalled Due to Overheating Risk

2023 Saminda C+ facelift to gain significant range boost

Saminda has updated the C+ EV globally with a more sophisticated and mature design along with more features on the inside. The range has also been slightly improved and it is expected to arrive in Japan on early 2022 and rest of the world in late 2022.

The facelifted 2023 Saminda C+ will gain new batteries, more efficient motors and a significant boost in range according to new reports.

Bigger Battery, Higher Range
Combined with more efficient electric motors and an “upgraded electronics system” with improved regenerative braking capabilities, Saminda claim driving range will be increased to 480km compared to it previous 400km range.

It will be equipped with a bigger 39.5kWh battery (36kWh previously). The electric motor develops 135PS and 355Nm and it can do a 0-100km/h sprint at 9.2s

A 100kW DC fast charger will top up the batteries from 10% to 80% in about 45 minutes while a 7.2kW charger would take 6 hours to charge from 10% to 100%

(2018 Saminda C+)

Currently, the C+ retails in North America from $32,575.

Saminda has an EV? And probably (by far, faaar) the most efficient one on the market, looking at that battery/range ratio. Nice taillights.

Yup, the C+ was our first EV that went on sale in 2018.

We had already phrase out V6 engines with now only 4 cylinder option in Saminda line-up and slowly making our way to EV and Hybrids only by 2040.

Beautiful tail lights👍🏿

I guess you’ve explained it years ago, but… Why are most (all?) Saminda model designations starting with “C”?

BTW, I love that this brand continues still since time immemorial

When i just started i did not know what name should i use for my vehicles and i did not want to make it sounds so complicated so i actually take BMW series naming as a referrence and just add a ‘‘C’’ which stands for Car so turns out C1 C2 C3 is car 1 car 2 car 3 and etc, and for suv or mpv i wanted to use ‘‘CX’’ but sounds like Mazda so i just use ‘‘CR’’ taken from CR-V

Well and CZ for sports car cause Z sounds cool, but i don’t really make CZ models anymore.

So for lore wise until now i decided to continue this simple naming

Sometimes I feel like I miss the days when it seems like the lore of Automationverse was more fleshed out. The Saminda-Maesima rivalry… The Ardent-Bogliq dito… Bogliqs catching fire in every challenge…

Oh well, everything changes, and the game absolutely for the better…

I feel like it’s the matter of brand threads getting less popular with, how to put it… more skilled? no, more engaged neither… more realistic players? Those, who are willing to, and able to, make a believeable and consistent brand, instead of a very loosely connected or defined collection of cars. And this might be due to “CSR syndrome” I think, that is challenges getting flashier, bigger, and overall functionally replacing both brand threads and car shows for many players. If you already spend hours upon hours on detailing your car for the particular challenge, and then similar time again on taking amazing pictures and polishing your super fancy CSS heavy presentation (still technically called an “ad”), and get the attention of like half the regularly active users, why would you put even more effort into mainaning a separate thread? Or even making more than one variant of a super detailed car… Well, some people still - fortunately IMO! - find it interesting to mainain such threads. Me too, I just always lack either time or ideas, or I’m bogged down by my own perfectionism

Saminda Announces New Recall for 1 Million RE Series 1.5 turbo engines, again.

Saitama, Japan - Saminda, widely recognized as one of the world’s leading engine manufacturers, has announced a new recall affecting 1 million cars equipped with it RE series turbocharged engine and models like C3, CR3 and Enver.

Auxuras CLX, ATL and BTL were also affected

This marks the fourth recall for the same issue, after a similar action was taken several years ago. The recall is due to a persistent fault in the turbocharger system, which could cause overheating and potential engine failure under specific driving conditions.

Despite Saminda’s reputation for engineering excellence, the issue has resurfaced in vehicles produced between 2022 to 2024. The company is urging owners of affected cars to visit authorized dealerships for free inspections and repairs.

Saminda has reassured customers that it will cover all repair costs and continue working to maintain its reputation as a global leader in engine technology. This proactive measure is part of the company’s commitment to ensuring safety and reliability for all its customers.
