Basically, I focused too much on economy, and forgot about everything else. Still, making a car that would fit the design brief and stay under budget for this challenge was a worthwhile endeavor for me. On current evidence, though, @vmo is most likely to be the winner… At least I used the 2-door coupe version of the body he used, instead of the 3-door hatchback.

yeah i think this car as a good platform for furter performance tuning, you can install low CR pistons and then turbocharge, that’s why there no VVL, for easier maintenance and tuning, also for decrease cost. I tried to install LSD but the price were barely under the maximum budget… however the car has good traction and cornering performance, but if you want drift this thing you definitly need an LSD.

if you have put bit thinner wheels it would have used less fuel. front 175 rear 195. try it out, it helps fuel economy
Yeah improve fuel economy, but 175/195 size tires aren’t very sporty on a 5.45kg/hp coupè, on real world the car tend to understeer.

try using a leaner air fuel ratio

@jonthefuzz if you used a super lean air fuel ratio you could still have 200 hp and alot better fuel economy
My ratio is 15.0:1 I think.
