I live in Karlsruhe / Southern Germany.
We are famous for our tram-train system. Our trams can’t only drive on the local tramway system, but on proper rail-tracks as well.
That means, that you can enter a tram somewhere far outside Karlsruhe (up to 85km beeline away) and drive with it directly to the city center and through the shopping mall.
