@strop yeah the porsche body seemed to have the best combination of off-road capability and lap time. I also had 395 rears but I reduced them to 345 for a little bit of sensibility. Let me just say that the drivability is higher than you might think
Edit: wait, I had 7 liters left? I must have calculated something wrong… now my 400hp feels really insufficient…
Just checked in, finally made the first stage, though performance was to be desired it would seem, gotta do more research into performance it would seem
@DeusExMackia, here in Brasil the Fiat Uno (Our version of the Panda) is know as the God of Roads! If it have a ladder in top of it, then it goes crazy. You need to see the internet and telephone technicians guys driving this things, no one can keep up.
I squeaked by, and I’m surprised! So, remember that I said the vents had a purpose?
Yeah, that purpose was to hopefully make people think I had more power than I do. I’ve got a little over 300 HP to my name here, and I’m hoping like heck it’s enough.
346 horsepower Twin Turbo V8. Yep. I didn’t go for a high-power build, instead focusing on having a drivable and durable car. In other words, I tried to learn from my mistakes in the last run. Don’t be 100% offroad focused, don’t go too nuts on durability, though it’s needed, and drivability is important in this one.
Ok, ladies and gentlemen. Some of you probably have already figured out your opponent for lydden hill. But I will announce the pairs anyway. The srpeadsheet is ready to go, only time input is required, and then the results will be posted. I will proceed on this after I’ve had some food in my face and watched another episode of GOT.

Winners of their battles move on to the next stage. Results pending withing next… ehm… 2 and a bit hours, I guess.
Yes, a quite standard and a really good way to form pairs.
To the pairing itself, on the up side I think I’ve got the ideal tyre choice for the stage. On the down side it probably still needs a DNF of Phales car to make something out of it. But then, that cutout ought to get into the next stage so it’s win-win from my point of view anyway.
Recap, some of the “sure win contestants for the final” have been eliminated, some of them are still in the game, 3 cars have developed visible/audible technical difficulties, and we’re about halfway done with this challenge, meaning that NOW, you should start hoping that your reliability is high enough to get you through the stages relatively unscathed. I know I’m quite happy about the drama that should unfold in the next rounds.
