The curse I'm stuck with

It’s a powerdrill (If you don’t own an air compressor and pneumatic tools) and interchangable sandpaper roll heads. It’s not a special tool. In any case, figure out your valve sizes, and make sure you are keeping this size throughout the whole intake. That’s about it. Remove sharp corners or edges, leave some rough texture there and that’s about it. It’s not rocket science, but it wouldn’t hurt to have somebody who’s done it before to watch over you for reassurance. We’ve all done it for the first time at some point, always scary at first.

So, continuing on. I do not see the point in a performance camshaft with the power I am going for. Also the fact that stock angles are “good enough” while stock lift is about 1.5mm more. So I’ve gone and got myself a brand spanking new one. Yeah, I’m that kind of a sicko

Going through some work

My pistons before being shipped along with the engine block to get measured and checked. I do not trust local builders to do so, so I sent it over to Lithuania into a rallycross team I’ve had the luck to be introduced to

Meanwhile there is a lot of stuff coming in from all over the place with parts that are not performance oriented, but are required when building the engine. More to come, this is just latest of the batch

ALSO… take a good look at this! SINK IT IN! YEAH, LET THE JEALOUSY TAKE OVER! THIS IS MY NEW CAR!!!

So yeah, this is an e36 compact (Yes, I deliberately chose this), it’s been engine swapped already to a 2.8 and seems to be in a not so rusty condition. The interior is “used car bought by MCM” kind of awful, and the thing runs very badly. I did not have an opportunity to drive it yet, but It’s pretty much mine already. I got it for free, and all that’s required of me is to pay tax on that and pass the MOT. It’s about 150 eur taxes and … god knows how much work for the MOT, since I did not even get this on to a proper lift yet. I got the guys to raise it with a forklift, and only checked out the body condition.

So the name for this beast is still in progress… So far the options are [Hoonicomp] and AE36 (In which case i will have to paint it white and have black stripes on it on the lower half). In any case I will be calling it “retard” cause “we’re family” and all XD

This is what one of those can look like after some MAJOR work.
3 liter turbo, Awd. And they crashed it on the first test drive, avoiding a deer. :sob:
