Funny enough there are plenty, just from the PRV motor (Peugeot Renault Volvo collaboration) we have the Alpine A310, GTA, A610 and Peugeot 504 505 604. After that there’s a good bunch of RWD french cars without V6s like some simcas, talbot, etc

Nah you’re fine, France did kinda give up on RWD pretty fast with the minor exception being peugeot who kept it the longest for standard passenger cars. But RR gripped french cars for like almost 30 years when they moved to FF… by using the same engine transmission combo but front longitudinal FWD with the engine behind the axle lol (cmon automation I’ve been waiting for this for eons)
Well big RWD is a domain of luxury cars with huge engines, a segment which basically died in France in the 1950s
