Just making sure, while obviously we can’t change the model/base car, are we allowed to change the body selection in trim? Like if I wanted to, for example, change the body of the van I got from the panel body to the passenger body?
You’re correct. You can’t change the drive type. Gearbox and tranny swaps allowed

2005 Macale Manta GT LM
For those who feel a stock 2005 Manta GT isn’t crazy enough, the LM package by ThunderWorks is just the thing for you!
The LM package turns the already formidable Macale Manta GT up to eleven by installing and FIA GT-inspired aerokit to harness the extra power from its bored-out 4.4-liter V8 (550 bhp on 93 AKI/98 RON super unleaded vs. the stock version’s 480 bhp), now capable of revving to a whopping 9500 rpm.
Combined with wider, semi-slick trackday tires, lowered and stiffened suspension, and uprated brakes, it’s now capable of a 207-mph top speed and 3.1-second 0-60 mph times, with race car-like grip and braking to match.
A race-inspired interior with lightweight fabrics and reduced sound-deadening help save 150 kilograms over the base car, thus making every extra bit of horsepower and grip count on any race track or winding road.
In short, there’s no mistaking a ThunderWorks Manta for a stock example, even in wealthier areas. Imagine something like this (which served as the key visual inspiration for my build), but with a 3-pedal manual and natural aspiration instead of an automated manual or any form of forced induction.

Steigen Yaksha V-4TC – Dutch Spec
The Steigen Yaksha V-4TC was already an impressive machine from the factory, but for one Dutch tuner living just outside Los Angeles, “good enough” was never part of the vocabulary. Coming from a background where engineering is valued over convention, he looked at the Yaksha not as a finished product, but as a platform that could be pushed much further. Comfort, tradition and even common sense were all secondary to one thing: outright performance.
The first thing to go was the supercharger. While it offered excellent response, it also represented unnecessary complexity and parasitic losses. In its place came a second turbocharger, transforming the 2.3-litre inline-five into a twin-turbocharged powerhouse. Running exclusively on E100 ethanol, the engine now produces an astonishing 812 horsepower and 965 Nm of torque, proving that modern fuels and careful tuning can extract incredible performance without increasing displacement.
The transmission, however, is what really turns heads. While almost everyone expected a sequential or dual-clutch gearbox to accompany an engine producing this much power, the builder chose a far more unconventional route. The manual gearbox was discarded entirely in favour of a continuously variable transmission. It’s a decision that raises eyebrows at every car meet, but one that’s hard to argue against once the car starts moving. By keeping the engine locked in its power band throughout acceleration, the CVT delivers uninterrupted boost and relentless forward thrust that conventional gearboxes simply can’t match.
The numbers speak for themselves. With all four wheels putting power to the ground, the Yaksha launches to 100 km/h in just 2.3 seconds, covers the quarter mile in 9.44 seconds, and continues pulling all the way to a top speed of 336 km/h. Despite producing more than 800 horsepower, the car remains remarkably composed thanks to a carefully tuned all-wheel-drive system, revised suspension, upgraded brakes and a functional aerodynamic package designed to keep it planted at high speed.
Visually, the changes are subtle enough to avoid shouting for attention. The deep purple paint, neon accents and aggressive rear wing hint at the car’s capabilities without revealing just how extreme it has become. It’s only when the boost builds and the CVT keeps the engine pinned at full song that the true character of the Dutch Spec reveals itself.
This Yaksha isn’t built to preserve originality, win concours events or satisfy internet purists. It exists for one purpose alone: to be as fast as possible. Every modification, from the switch to E100 fuel to the controversial CVT transmission, was chosen because it made the car quicker. Whether people agree with the decisions is almost irrelevant—the stopwatch certainly does.

Judging by the upward rise in the lower window line, my hunch is that whoever made the Steigen used one of the Tezda body sets as its basis (and I eventually checked it myself, and I was indeed right). Also, your decision to use a CVT (to keep the engine in its power band all the time) isn’t as mad as it sounds - Williams tried it with the FW15C over 30 years ago, although the FIA banned such devices on cost and complexity grounds (as well as making it too easy for any team that had it properly dialed in to win championships).
I knew about the Williams CVT so it wasn’t impossible, but I did add +12 quality to the gearbox to make it somewhat reliable haha
That helps mitigate the inherent reliability penalty a CVT incurs compared with other transmission types.
The Green Menace
The original Pluma Turbo was a capable lightweight sports car, but it had a significant flaw: severe turbo lag. The large single turbocharger took too long to spool, which made the car unpredictable and difficult to drive competitively in tighter turns. The goal for this tuning project was to eliminate that weakness and update the chassis for high-speed totally legal street racing.
Engine and Powertrain Upgrades To solve the power delivery issue, the original aspiration system was replaced with a compound turbocharger setup. By utilizing a smaller turbine for low-end response and a larger one for top-end power, the lag of the stock version is completely gone. The 1.7L V6 engine now delivers a steady 700+ Nm of torque starting at just 2400 RPM.
Additionally, the fuel system was converted to run on high-performance ethanol. This allows the engine to handle higher boost pressures safely, pushing the final output to 560 horsepower. Combined with a lightweight 847kg package (a bit heavier than the original, we know, but it was worth it) and semi-slick tires, the car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 2.35 seconds while keeping the thrill of a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Aerodynamics and Stability With the increase in power, the car required some aerodynamic upgrades to remain stable at high speeds and keep the powertrain cool. The new aero package features a revised front splitter, a large rear wing, more air entries and a better use of its original underbody diffuser. This work generates up to 1000kg of downforce close to its top speed.
I suppose the use of a partial monocoque chassis on the Pluma Turbo was to simulate a Lotus-like backbone chassis (which the game doesn’t support yet).
