Does lens color in this case refer to the color of the glass on the outside of the light fixture, or the color of the light that the bulb emits.
Since coloured bulbs seems like a later thing, it is lens colours this far. At least for now I won’t check how the lights are connected, if it looks right it is right.
OK, now to the elephant in the room, the techpool violations, that became rather controversial, and I can see why, but this is confusing to me and it has never happened in a challenge before.
An example of one of the “rulebreakers”
This is how that user’s techpool screenshot looks, and it looks completely legal of course, but it looks nothing like I am used to the techpool menu and how it looks.
This is how the techpool menu looks for me, and as you can see, when I set the TP to the values it originally had, it turns out way too high.
My original thought was that it must have been a campaign car just moved over to sandbox, but according to the user it IS a sandbox car.
- What is the problem here?
- The most important thing maybe, how should I word the rules/give instructions to make this correct, to not make this a controversial thing?
Now, I don’t want to turn this into a discussion that the techpool is too low or something, because my guess is that no matter how I had set the techpool, the same error would have occured.
Can someone that is a bit less stupid than me explain what have happened, so this won’t happen in round 2? Because I had more than one “violation” like this, and as I have said, never happened before AFAIK…
The top photo looks like a company-specific techpool for a car made in sandbox mode, while the bottom photo looks like the techpool for a “SANDBOX” company car made in sandbox mode. The difference is that the company-specific techpool sets a country from the company and provides an inherent country-specific tech bonus for free, while a car made under the “SANDBOX” company gets a specific tech pool set for each car individually. When the car is imported, it does not import with the company-specific techpool, defaults to a “SANDBOX” company vehicle, and loses the country-specific tech bonus. Without that free tech bonus boost, the techpool goes over the limit. So the solution is to make sure that every submission is made as a “SANDBOX” company vehicle in sandbox mode. At least I’m pretty sure that’s what’s happening based on some prior tinkering with company-specific techpools in sandbox mode.
That’s why I’ve always played it safe by exclusively submitting sandbox vehicles in Discord and Discourse challenges.
- Techpool from upper picture adds Country tech offset points which adds 1-2 global techpool bonus (the second row from lower picture)
- Simplest solution would be to specify that techpool should have +0.00 Country tech offset that way it gives no unfair advantage for an entry and submission should be as SANDBOX company
The way country tech offset works is that it moves the techpool setting for free so in case of that picture it adds +2 to every category so for example drivetrain will have +7 techpool instead of +5
Since I haven’t seen any objections against the rules, and also since the TP thing seems to have been solved, we’re open for subs now!
Saebyeok between 1946-1951
The Saebyeok brand was launched in 1946 by Baek Jin-Ho, he was a former shipyard worker with an innate ability to create anything from metal in his workshop.
Seeing what was at the time a massive opportunity to mobilise the South Korean people with low cost, sturdy vehicles primarily aimed at farmers and construction workers.
The funds for this venture came from his American business associate Thomas Vance, who managed to acquire the steel needed to start creating cars.
At the start this was a small concern creating low volume, simple cars in a tiny factory by the standards of more established auto-makers.
The Saebyeok SA-1 (1946)
The first vehicle is a simple, partially open pickup with seating for six people and a removeable canvas roof.
Built with a box section chassis and bolted-on body panels, the SA-1 is easily dismantled for repairs.
Drive comes from a strong 1471cc engine powering the rear wheels through a three speed transmission.
Until 1951 Saebyeok continued to build know how purely in the Korean peninsula, however from 1952 onwards they will look to export a small number of vehicles to other nations with Velkarja being within the remit of their operations.
Further news of the 1952 export vehicles will follow shortly.
Revolutionary news from the URSR
Cars
During 1946 and 1951, the Revolutionary Council has deemed all railways unsafe, due to the Forty-Seven Hour Border War that was caused over a mistranslated railway timetable.
With funding from the Revolutionary Council, KAZ has managed to triple the amount of models they offer.
The 1952 KAZ 2052 PAS-452S
The KAZ sedan, now with 82% more sedan!
The KAZ 2000-series sedans now have more features than ever before, at lower price than ever before. Not only do you get seats, but you also get a radio!
Thanks to some revolutionary advances in the industry of excellence, the 1952 KAZ 2052 PAS-452S now has 1700% more excellence.
The KAZ 2000-Series, Velkarja’s first choice!
More info
The KAZ 2000-series is like a friend who’ll never leave you hanging. In Velkarja the 2000-series was the best selling large family car, and somehow also the best selling luxury car. In the URSR, the 2000-series sedans are one of the most common sights on the road. Not only are they durable family cars, but they’re also used as police cars and taxis.
Now with even more powerful engine, redefined suspension, and more comfortable seats, the 2000-series sales are only expected to go up.
For 1952 model year, KAZ was ordered to make the 2000-series sedans look more like a sedan. Afterall, what’s the point of having a sedan if people will think you have a liftback. These all are valid concerns in a planned economy where you have to join a waitlist in order to even get a car in the first place.
The 1952 KAZ 1552 PAS-460
Gone are the days when small cars were cramped and unsafe. Say Hello to the modern age, where small cars are just unsafe!
Introducing the new KAZ 1500-Series, the first ever big small car. Our engineers at KAZ worked day and night to develop this radical new vehicle. With the engine in the back, it’s guaranteed to handle snow and rough weather conditions.
The KAZ 1500-Series, probably the most expensive small car out there!
More info
WThe KAZ 1552 is a wonderful car, perhaps even magnificent! But man fuck if this is gonna sell more than 3 units it’s a victory for me.
DO YOU WANT UNCOMFORTABLE SEATS AT A HIGH PRICE? WELL LOOK NO FURTHER!
This rear engined family car is just as practical as it sounds! And with the sub 1000cc tax evasion engine, you sure won’t be getting any speeding tickets. But credit given where credit due, if you ignore the back breaking seats and the high purchase price, it’s a relatively pleasant driving experience. That, and low running costs, are literally the only thing this car is good at.
In the URSR, the Revolutionary Mail Service uses modified 1500-series’ as mail delivery vehicles. With the rear seats removed, it becomes a quite capable van despite its small size. The front seats also fold flat, providing enough space for a family of twelve to sleep inside!
The 1952 KAZ Kazenkiv 220
Seeing the success of the Aero Move, we wanted to get a piece of that action (and money). This mid-engined sports car style coupe is guaranteed to get you bitches!
When even the small car is too big, go smaller! The Kazenkiv is one of the lightest, and most economical new cars available in Velkarja. And with the 75km/h top speed, you certainly won’t be getting any speeding tickets.
The new Kazenkiv’s, a car for those who hate themselves!
More info
With more and more people moving into towns where the sky is filled with smoke, party from cigarette smoke, party from factories. And with money being tight, the Kazeniv was the obvious choice for any single guy!
And with this vehicle, you’re also guaranteed to stay single!
In 1955, a group of Kazenkiv owner’s staged a protest outside the KAZ HQ, since the seats were so hard, they could quite literally break your back. The protesters were quickly told to go home, since no one could take them seriously with their stupid little cars parked beside them. And thanks to the press only being able to report whatever the Revolutionary Council deemed appropriate, the story never got out.
But that’s not all! Do you feel like the Kazenkiv 220 is too complicated? Why are there three pedals? Why are there four wheels?
The 1952 KAZ Kazenkiv 120
In the URSR, the Kazenkiv 120’s were given to those who had lost one or more of their limbs in a train accident. Equipped with the revolutionary KAZ-O-Matic 2-speed automatic transmission, driving was easy even if you were missing a leg. Or an arm. Or quite possibly both.
Surveys show, that 110% of the Kazenkiv 120 owners would recommend the vehicle! Thanks to the overwhelming success of the Kazenkiv 120 in URSR, the Supreme Council of URSR ordered KAZ to export some of them! After all, everyone should be able to experience the glory of socialism. God bless the URSR and the Revolutionary Council!
More info
In the URSR, someone is injured in a train collision every 4 minutes. This has caused the Revolutionary Council to discourage the use of trains, however because this massive regime cares about its citizens, those who have been injured in a train accident will receive a free car from the state. Sounds exciting, eh? A free car!
Still excited?
The 120’s were equipped with the same engine as the 220. However the 120 had one less wheel, and one less gear. It was only offered with a 2-speed automatic so you could drive it despite missing an arm AND a leg!

Damn, I got stiff competition now.
A new wave from the sunny land of Kawakami:
The 1952 Uji Kogyo Mod.26 DaiKii, available in two trim levels, Kantoku (Director) and Shachou (President). In the Kantoku trim, it is offered as a saloon or as an estate. In the Shachou trim, it is only offered as a saloon. The Kantoku trim comes with a 1376cc four cylinder producing 42PS and 89.7N/m, and is capable of hitting 100kph. The Shachou trim comes with a significantly uprated 2982cc eight cylinder producing 100PS and 198N/m, and is capable of hitting 150kph. It also comes with an upgraded interior and better brakes. All trims come with standard four speed manual transmissions. All trims come with fully independent front suspension and solid axle rear suspension, along with rear wheel drive.
With the lack of success achieved by the previous model of the DaiKii, Uji Kogyo has attempted to give customers more bang for their buck, providing a larger car for the same amount of money.
From the mouth of Director Shigeru Izutsu:
”Through constant improvement, provided by constant and appreciated criticism, mediocre cars can improve.”
Just so I don’t mess up again… I mean just so the Kawakami Export Services mistranslate the Velkarjan import requirements again, if three of my cars are just trims of each other, will they all be classed as one ‘model’ when you import them and therefore all be named ‘SOV2A’ instead of 2A, 2B and 2C?

The legend of the Black DaiKii: A car that anyone in Kawakami knows not only by name, but by the gentle rumble of its engine, not only because of the distinctiveness of the sound, but what it means.
Used by Kawakami’s Imperial Police, the DaiKii 3000 Shachou was one of the fastest cars in the nation at the time. Any criminal or enemy of the government knew that if they saw the DaiKii in their rear-view mirror, their fate had likely already been decided. As such, a cult of personality almost seemed to be born around the car. Often used alongside foreign-built luxury barges as transport for heads of companies, and even used allegedly by the Uji-based divisions of the Yamakawa-gumi, the largest criminal organisation in Kawakami.
The only question remains though, will the Shachou maintain that same reputation when it is exported to Velkarja, or will it be overshadowed by superior foreign offerings?
No. Split them up into 2A, 2B and 2C anyway.
In the taxation rule, is it the displacement of the block or the actual variant? I assume the latter, but just making sure that I can use a bigger block and limit it to 1000cc to fit regulation.
Actual variant.
