the problem is that the open alpha has fixtures and bodies that are not present in the stable version
And some mods don’t work on unstable version
ahh ok
Mason Meteoric MK2
The revived Meteoric last seen in the 1930s, people say this isn’t a true return to form.
The Winged Steel Dragoness, A concept for the future of vehicles from the WS motor corporation that was later abandoned due to the company itself going under due to its consistently unreliable, underperforming and over expensive cars.
Ferhertz Ictus
Plug-in hybrid vehicle with a 1.4L I4 turbo engine for a total combined power of 122kW and a 298.5Nm FWD E-CVT powertrain configuration for increased reliability and comfort. Optimized and redesigned for long commutings while providing low drag resistance.
Narrow, low-rolling-resistance tires combined with wind deflectors and polycarbonate side windows allow the vehicle to achieve a fuel consumption of 5.5 l/100 km and remain lightweight despite its elongated shape.
with very little time to go and very few entries, is there interest in extending the deadline?
- Extend the deadline a week
- Extend the deadline two weeks
- Keep the deadline and close the challenge tomorrow
Alright, the poll seems pretty conclusive, submissions will now close 2025-02-10T05:59:00Z
Why vote to extend if you’re not going to participate
Anyway, submissions are closed, I should be able to get reviews out quite quickly.
how did i misread that as feb 11 at least twice… dang.
i forgor
how and where are the reviews (just wondering no pressure)
The host is still compiling them - just be patient for now. They’ll come out eventually.
It’s been three days, it’s the middle of the week and I have school. Expect them by this weekend.

This desing has the hallmarks of a streamliner – wheel covers, a long rear end, low roofline and a smooth shape. It tries to blend 1930s design features into a modern body shape, with somewhat rough results. The graphic elements that make up the front end clash with the shape and bodylines of the base body, also looking like a comically shocked face. The sides don’t improve much, with small door handles and very harsh and square lower moulding. I will say, the character pieces extending to the wheel cover look good, though they could have been more smoothly integrated. The idea for the rear treatment is sound – it fits the theme and is creative – but its execution leaves a bit to be desired, with a somewhat harsh finish when compared to the roundness and smoothness of the rest of the car. Finally, the wheels are too small and the tyres too high-profile, giving it somewhat of a base-model feel.

While this design does implement streamliner elements – an elongated tail, wheel covers, retracting mirror cameras and modern aerodynamic wheels – the final execution is lacking. The rear end was stretched but the roofline wasn’t, which throws off the proportions of the whole thing – the greenhouse is just too small. Detailing-wise, it has just a bunch of vanilla or premade fixtures slapped on with improper scaling and positioning, random body moulding pieces and weird grille-like elements on the front. The low positioning of these elements gives it a big forehead look, while the rear end looks droopy. Besides the simple moulding pieces on the lower end of the car, there is basically no attempt at surfacing beyond the body lines built into the Polestar mod body.

The final entry also has all the elements you would expect in a streamliner, without looking like a caricature of one. The tail is long, the roof is low and smooth and it has rear wheel covers. The way the characteristically tall rear of the base body was lowered is commendable. It goes all-out with modern features as well, with smoothly-integrated vents in the side and rear. I especially like the side vent, which acts as a character line and flows very nicely with the lines of the base body. The lower black moulding with silver accents “squish” the design down visually while giving it a more premium feel. The side windows show thought went into fitting the theme beyond purely visual elements, with only small pieces being able to open, presumably because of the material choice. The front end is well-executed, with thin, connected lighting elements, as well as the almost-mandatory in the 2020s split headlights, with the lower elements nicely integrated in a recessed moulding piece. Grille openings are narrow, showing its commitment to aerodynamics, and all the moulding pieces are in harmony with each other. My only gripe with this front end is that the corner of the upper vent/DRL elements could have met the body’s upper character line, but besides that it’s stellarly executed. The rear end is a mixed bag for me, especially when it comes to the lightbar. While its outline and position fit the shape of the body, more work could have gone into making the inner layout instead of just using the old and outdated Charger design. The lower diffuser is great, with creative use of fixtures and well-fitting exhaust pipes. I feel like the intention was for the line made by the diffuser and reverse lights to flow into the plate holder, but the latter feels somewhat small and disconnected – still, the lineflow is cohesive and visually pleasing. My final, but small, criticisms lie in the side mirrors and wheel covers – the former feel somewhat rough (outdated vanilla items made for a different era) when compared to the rest of the design, and the latter would have worked better if they reached all the way down instead of stopping halfway through.

The blue one is dope. The sloping rear roofline gives me 4dr Nissan GTR vibes.
… well, many thanks.
