Video Game Battle Royale

EPISODE I

Jon Irenicus began examining the depot he found himself in. He knew that to ensure a victory, he needed to be more powerful. Actually, he always was power hungry, and this was just an excuse to justify this trait. Then, his senses detected an artifact of immense power very near. He closed his eyes, focused, and determined the artifact in question was hidden within an Albany Esperanto, converted into a taxi. He shot an energy projectile towards the car, and the “artifact”, which turned out to be the car’s engine fell off the engine bay. The engine oil was flowing out of the oil pan, cracked by the impact, and Jon sensed that the object, unfortunately, had no power anymore. He continued his search. What he did not know is that the fuel tank was breached as well, and the petrol leak was a disaster waiting to happen.

Paine saw the Chrysler building towering next to the “building” she was in. It looked like a nice high spot to observe the surroundings, to see what the power of the other contestants is. So she left the rubble and headed towards the building. She could feel a presence of someone in here. She could feel a presence of some solitary traveller. Or of a lone wanderer, excuse me, THE Lone Wanderer. He quickly pulled out a pistol and shot Paine in the leg. She quickly did an Omniguard, and began running towards the post-apocalyptic hero with a sword in her hand. The Wanderer kept shooting and shooting at first, but then he realised she was invincible now. Paine was close enough to land a hit on her opponent. However, he was not too weak as well, and was not heavily injured. That was the moment he decided to run. He run up the stairs and started looking for a spot for an ambush.
-Fight…like…a…man - Paine muttered and followed him.
Everything was watched by Aya Brea, who decided to wait until one winner emerges from this fight.

Gordon Freeman also was exploring the location he found himself. It was an abandoned military base, from what he could observe, probably due to a plague of some kind. He looked at the deserted barracks, guard towers with no guards, and then he spotted something out of place in this sort of setting. It was, interestingly enough, a cave, that stood in middle of the base. He went in, thinking why military would build a base around a cave? Perhaps there’s some anomalous shit going on there, huh? His thoughs were however interrupted, by a voice, with a thick Serbian accent
-Who are you? - Gordon turned around and spotted Niko Bellic, holding an MP5 in his hand.
However, Freeman decided not to answer Bellic’s question. Ya know, he does not use his voice outside of the opera house, where he sings part-time. You would not want to expose such a beautiful voice to too much wear. Niko, however did not understand that, and pulled the trigger. The bullets were stopped by Freeman’s HEV suit. Gordon answered by pulling his MP5 out, and shooting the guy from GTA. Niko felt the injury and hid behind some rock or something. Gordon shot the rock with an explosive launcher attached to his submachine gun, crumbling it and sending Niko back. Niko threw a Molotov cocktain at Halflife protagonist. Not only one cocktail, three of them. Gordon stood in place, confused, since it was too many for him to count. The cocktails struck Gordon
-Burn damage detected! - Gordon quickly began rolling on the floor trying to extinguish the petrol burning - Flame inhibitor sprayed. Wound regeneration agent injected, morphine administered - the HEV suit notified its owner with all the things he needed.
Niko in meantime, stood on the metal grate, right above the pool of imulsion, behind a sturdier cover. He started aiming at his foe, when a phone rang. Bellic answered his call…

-No, Roman, I haven’t got time to go bowl…WHOA! - The grate nudged a bit. The call has given Gordon enough time to work out the grate’s opening mechanism, and has just shot one of the locks off with an attached grenade launcher. Niko realised the threat in Gordon’s actions, stood up, and began to leave the dangerous area. A bit too late. Gordon shot another lock off, and the grate opened. Niko grabbed a ledge with his hand, trying to climb his way out of this situation, but Gordon run up to him, and hit his fingers with a crowbar so hard the fingers got all broken. This caused Niko to let go of a ledge, and then he fell into the Imulsion pool, and drowned.
FIRST DEATH - Niko Bellic
-How nice! - Killrob exclaimed - No, Automation won’t include imulsion pools for drowning your competitors in! Use the search function, PLEASE!
Gordon was already walking away, thinking about how to obtain the misterious substance his now deceased opponent ended up in. He was about to leave, when something began pulling him.
-GET OVER HERE! - it was the Mortal Kombatant, who used one of his signature moves to close the distance between him and Freeman. Now, Gordon has found himself in Automation Design room.

Spyro has left the room he was in, and immediately encountered Mario’s brother. Luigi has already grown big, and now, he picked up a fire flower.
The two began hurling fireballs at each other.

Marcus determined that the balcony was a nice observation spot. He could see the military base, and the main street leading to the Bowser’s castle. Since no opponents were around, he took time to analyze the layout of the rooms of building he was in.

Just like Limburger cheese hats. Brilliant!

I tried so hard not to read ahead and see how Spyro was doing, this is brilliant!

Nice work Kubby! though Scorpion says “GET over here” but that’s just nit-picking

I knew something was wrong with this phrase. Fixed

EPISODE II

Fight between Luigi and Spyro got truly intense. Spyro charged, and rammed the plumber, knocking Luigi’s fire power off, and changing his clothes back to his usual green and blue attire.
-Mamma mia!
Spyro was about to charge at Luigi once more, but Luigi managed to pull out his hammer and smacked it across Spyro’s face, knocking him away
-It’sa banhammer time! - Luigi then proceeded to bounce the Spyro’s projectiles away. Some of them hit the surroundings, which have caught fire. Spyro then noticed a powerup gate, went through it, and gained an invincibility powerup. Now it was a time to take use of that advantage. He once again charged at Luigi, who once again smacked the dragon with a hammer. This time, however, the attack with the hammer had no effect, and Spyro rammed Luigi, sending him across the corridor, and making him small again. It was not looking good for Luigi. However, he spotted something that could save his life, a vanish flower. He grabbed it, and became completely invisible and intangible. he began running through fire, through his foe, and then through the window. At last moment though, the both powerups’ times run out, and Luigi smashed through window with full tangibility. Spyro, of course, did hear that, and turned around to see Luigi flap his hands to land safely from a height that was considerably lethal to an average human. And it worked! In fact, it was one of Luigi’s techniques, the Scuttle Jump. Spyro jumped after Luigi, and managed to land on his opponent, before hitting the ground. He then grabbed the
Italian tightly and did not let him go. Luigi being between Spyro and the ground broke the impact, but it also broke all of Luigi’s bones and crushed him
to death. Spyro to confirm that his foe is infact dead, burned the plumber’s body to the crisp.
SECOND DEATH - Luigi
-So Spyro is Luigi’s crush? - Killrob commented - That is not the most conventional pairing I’ve ever seen.
Spyro strolled off in the direction of the town. Little did he know that Marcus did already spot him, and was getting ready to hunt him down…

Scorpion and Gordon Freeman were also duking it off. Freeman had his suit, granting him sizable defence advantage, while Scorpion had more hand-to-hand combat experience and a speed advantage. In fact, the first thing he did was knock Gordon’s MP5 out of the Half-Life’s protagonist’s hand. Scorpion landed one hit after another, kicking and punching Freeman. Then he performed a Leg Takedown on his foe, tripping him. In fact, that fall has broken Gordon’s hand
-Fracture detected. Bones set up. Bone growth accelerant injected. Morphine administered - Gordon knew his suit would not protect him forever. And then Scorpion has removed his mask to spew fire on Gordon. This has given him an idea. He enabled the Enhanced sprint, quickly got up (fire still managed to burn him a bit.) and run towards the engine. He started the motor and cut off the pipe that sucked exhaust away, and then swiched all of the ventilation off. Engine of such size must have generated loads of power, and that meant a lot of fuel burnt, which meant a lot of oxygen used up. Gordon had his own oxygen supply. Scorpion did not. That might have turned the fight in Gordon’s favor.

Jon Irenicus was still looking for some interesting things in the taxi depot. He then sensed some magic. He went to the “office”. He was closer and closer… He then opened a cupboard. A portal gate was inside.

Meanwhile, Paine was looking for the Lone Wanderer. The lights were broken, the windows painted black for some reason, and it was pretty dark inside. Her foe was definitely lurking in the shadows. She could feel it. He also applied some first aid on his wound. She was brave, but she was not stupid, she would not just go in the dark, her opponent would just pick her off. Then however, something next to the Chrysler Building exploded. It was the Bellic Taxi depot. The shockwave has broken the windows, and this has let some light in. Payne could finally see her foe, who immediately opened fire. She was hit, but she bounced forwards, and knocked Lone Wanderer’s weapon out of his hand, cutting off his index finger in the progress. She was about to land another strike, but the Lone wanderer has pulled a tire iron just in time and parried Paine’s attack. The tire iron was not as, excuse the pun, cutting edge as Paine’s sword, but it allowed the wielder to land quick hits, and since the Lone Wanderer was actually a formidable hand-to-hand fighter, he did manage to land hits on Paine. She then parried one of the blows, and now she had the initiative. She landed another strike which was parried by the tire iron, but it was not an ordinary strike. It was a Hard Break, and it has actually managed to break the Vault 101 traveller’s weapon. She then promptly stabbed her opponent in the neck, and the Lone Wanderer died.
THIRD DEATH - Lone Wanderer
-Looks like this blow was to Hard for Wanderer to handle… - Killrob announced
-Nice one - a voice has said. Paine has turned around and spotted Aya Brea, holding a pistol.

Back to Jon. He did survive the explosion. He went through the portal before the Bellic Taxi Depot obliterated itself. Of course, the burning fumes would still get through the portal and burn Irenicus, but he destroyed the portal for anyone not to follow him, just in time. Now, where was he? It was some sort of a tunnel. A narrow tunnel (just a bit wider than an air vent), which was not traversed in long time, as the spider webs and dust suggested.
-Well, I guess I can only go forward from there - Jon meant that quite literally, as there was only a dead end behind him.

LOL This series is awesome! The Lone Wanderer put up a good fight, though.

This is awesome!!! I can’t wait to see how Aya deals with Paine, and how she reacts to the use of PE.

Or… just maybe… how Paine deals with Aya :stuck_out_tongue:

EPISODE III

Gordon and Scorpion were still fighting. The exhaust fumes were filling the area, and Scorpion’s flameslowly faded away. However, he quickly opened the door and turned the ventilation system on, the fumes could be seen quickly dispersing, and the posters could be heard flapping in the wind generating. This however, has given time to Gordon to retrieve his gun. He aimed it at Scorpion, and fired, like, ten bullets. Scorpion did not even flinch, and pulled off a nice, nice combo, featuring a kunai stab, and ending with an air throw. He then teleported behind Freeman, trying to hellfire punch him, just as Gordon hired a grenade from his MP5 at him. Due to the teleport, the explosive has hit the running engine instead of Scorpion. That, and some Michael Bay writing magic, caused the engine to explode. The HEV suit protected both Freeman (since he was in the suit) and Scorpion (since Gordon stood between him and the engine). However, flying debris, a conrod more accuratedly has struck Freeman’s stomach, going through the suit and going straight into the abdominal cavity, though a bit was still sticking out.
-Foreign body detected! Blood loss detected! Seek medical attention! - Gordon has then pulled the conrod off his body - Morphine administered!
-No, my artifact of power…
-Wait, did you hear that? - Scorpion asked.
Gordon did not answer Scorpion’s question, he was deep in thought. Something was wrong with fumes dispersing. It would not have been that quick…He analysed the direction of the wind, where the voice came from, the posters flapping…And he threw a conrod covered in his blood, which still was in his hand. The conrod has teared through the Hoischen Instruments poster, hit Jon Irenicus behind the poster, broke his nose, and revealed an entrance to the secret tunnel. Both Scorpion and Gordon realised they were weakened after their fight, and them teaming up temporarily was the only possible way to survive encounter with the wizard. The Mortal Kombatant fired his kunai on a rope, piercing Jon’s chest.
-GET OVER HERE! - and he dragged him into the room
-Mere mortals…You don’t realise your only purpose in this world is getting slaughtered by me.

Aya Brea was fighting with Paine in meantime. Aya was trying to finish the fight quickly, and just decided to conflagrate her foe. The radioactive isotopes were all ready to destroy Paine on molecular level, but…they could not. Paine had her Omniguard, and not even the threat from the inside could do anything about that… Oh well! Paine closed in and started slashing Aya. She however soon started parrying the blows with a club. She then forced her mitochondria to cast a plasma blast that knocked Paine away. This, this was time for a dressphere change, or whatever they are called.
-Time…to go full throttle on you… - Paine muttered, as she got herself changed into a suit housing the soul of a legendary warrior, with some awesome wings sprouting out. Of course, Aya Brea tried to shoot Paine during the change, but apparently the sphere change could be used to defend against enemy attack. Ah, that game logic.
Immediately, Paine closed in onto Aya again and spammed some quick slashes. Aya had to react quickly. She had her reflexes, and she could parry some of the blows, but the club was about to give away soon. She used her parasite energy again, and paralysed Paine with Apobiosis. She backed off a little, and immediately began “sucking up the Earth’s magnetism”, which apparently created some sort of shield aroud Aya. Paine however did not stay paralysed for more than half a second, due to a ribbon in her possession. She closed in again… And could not attack. In fact, she could not even move. Seeing that Brea’s shield is magnetic in nature, it kinda affected Full Throttle’s metal wings of blades.
-It was a good fight ya know? I really want to fight again - Aya’s words have made Paine feel warm inside. Wait a moment, I need to correct some information. They did not make her feel warm, but very, very hot. And these were not Aya’s words that had that effect, but her Combustion ability thingy. Paine has burned to the crisp in no time.
-Too bad I really have no time for a rematch.
FOURTH DEATH - Paine
-Wow, she was hot before, but now she’s EVEN HOTTER! - Killrob commented.

Spyro has noticed a figure aiming a gun at him. He run towards the nearest gate and gained something that seemed perfect for this sort of a problem - a Supercharge powerup. He run up to Marcus with so much speed, that even though Marcus did open fire, he did not hit Spyro with any of the bullets. Then the dragon slammed into the apartment block. Ya know, it was one of those Large Panel System buildings, so popular in USSR, and its satellite states back in the glorious communist days, also known as Plattenbauten in German and Khrushchyovkas in Russian, and since this one was old, sloppily constructed, and in fact, they are quite ugly and I’d like to have them gone, the balcony Marcus was standing on began to crumble. Marcus was just quick enough to leave the balcony, before it separated from the building and fell down. He had to leave this place, it was going to fall apart soon. When he left the building (Marcus is the new Elvis!), he managed to shoot Spyro once before he rammed Marcus, and caused him to fall and drop his weapon. Marcus than has pulled a knife out and attempted to strike Spyro, but he has collected the Ice Breath powerup and frozen Marcus solid…
FIF… - wait…
In real life, Marcus Michael Fenix would be dead, but it’s video game logic, so it only has immobilised him. Spyro took the opportunity to charge into Marcus two times. It did not do much damage actually, but it has stripped some of his armor, ya know. The third time however, Marcus thawed out and drove his knife into Spyro’s chest. Spyro fliched in pain, but was not dead. In fact, he carried on, with a knife sticking out of his body. He charged into Marcus once more, causing him to trip, just when he was running to retrieve his rifle. Spyro then prepared a huge fire blast, that would pretty much incinerated his foe. And when he finally blasted the fire… One of these large panels fell off the building, and digged itself into the soil, right between Marcus and Spyro, acting as a barrier protecting against the attack. Marcus has then retrieved his rifle and shot Spyro several times. He was still alive, but then Marcus has thrown a Bolo Grenade straight inside Spyro’s mouth (as he was groaning in pain). The grenade has exploded, obliterating the dragon.
FIFTH DEATH - Spyro
-This fight’s awesomeness blows my mind. And I guess it blows Spyro’s mind as well…
Marcus has then retrieved his knife and went looking for a new spot, since this one was going to turn into a pile of rubble very soon.

Welp, Spyro, it was nice while it lasted…

Go, Aya, go!! Wait until she Liberates. This is so cool to read. MORE!

Oh yeah baby, got my first blood!
