West Automotive

First off, thanks for clearing that up!

I am having just a few issues:

Less wheelspin:

More wheelspin:

Although less wheelspin increases sportiness, it (oddly) decreases drivability, fuel economy, utility, off road performance and running costs. I would think that it would reduce service costs especially, as the tires would need to be replaced less often, but this stays exactly the same. I must be doing something wrong…:weary:

Also, with the 4x4 thing, would that make it part time if it normally works as RWD?
This would be strange, as it is stated in the tutorial videos, that the in game 4x4 setup has a center diff. Part time 4x4 setups do not have a center differential, this is what makes them unsuitable for the roads when 4x4 is engaged.
Or is this simply a symptom of the game still being in development?

As far as I know, it works as a part-time 4x4, and it has been that way since it was implemented, you can use the search function to see older threats with more info. It works as a RWD vehicle and then splits power 50/50 when is engaged, but only for the off-road stats.

About the stats, one thing to improve economy is in the detailed stats, under economy you can see the average cruising speed of the engine, you can try to match that speed with the speed at which the engine is more efficient, in your case is around 2,000 rpms. With worse economy, the running costs increases (since you buy more fuel), as you can see the service costs is the same in both cases, so the tire extra wear has no influence.

Utility/off-road is highly influenced by gearing, the taller the 1st gear the less power is multiplied by the transmission and send to the wheels, which affects towing and driving under a heavy load (i guess).

Drivability is quite tricky, too much wheelspin and you can’t go faster, which makes the car more drivable (I’m just guessing) EDIT: don’t forget to adjust the brakes after a big gearing change. One thing you could try, is to set 1st gear top speed around 30mph, and second around 60mph, and maybe, if possible, a whole gear of overdrive.

Or just click everything until it gets where you wanted xD.

I’ll definitely try this out, thanks!
And since I believe it was you who mentioned the “terribad” braking of my vehicle, after doing a little research, I saw that a 60-0 distance of 133-144 feet, although not great, is a workable figure. However, I feel that reduction of around 10 feet (which, when towing, would become quite a substantial amount)
Would make my vehicle FAR more competitive in it’s segment. I’ll see what I can do.

Where I got my info (look at the first graph):

After a long wait, the production model of the Ares is finally here!
Practically everything from the preproduction models and concepts have either been tweaked or completely overhauled!
Three trims are available; Sport, Trail, and Long Haul. Each trim can be equipped with either the 2.5L or 4.6L engine. The 2.5L inline-four is mated to a five speed automatic or manual transmission delivering up to 29 MPG, whilst the 4.6L Inline six is equipped with a seven speed manual or automatic transmission with up to 27 MPG. Power has not been compromised, however, with the 2.5L producing 172HP and 220ft/lbs and the 4.6L developing an astonishing 303HP and 405 ft/lbs of torque.

The Sport trim is equipped with cloth seats, RWD, and an available AM/FM/SIRIUS radio.

The Trail trim receives disconnecting sway bars, Off-Road tires, Locking front and rear Differentials, an Offroad Skid Tray and, of course, 4WD!

The Long Haul trim includes all the features from the Trail trim, but adds an exclusive Karman-Hardon 10 speaker sound system, featuring Bose 7.1 channel surround sound technology, Custom embroidered heated and cooled leather seats, and rear climate control.

Each trim is available with the Standard (two-door) or Crew (four-door) cabs.

Soon after the release of the Ares, West Automotive revealed the Argon: A heavy duty van tailored for fleet use. Powered by the 2.5l inline-four from the Ares connected to a five speed manual, the Argon is capable of a maximum of 33 MPG! These astonishing numbers have been achieved through the extensive use of active aerodynamics: opening and closing cooling vents as needed to reduce drag.
This combination of an efficient drivetrain and aerodynamics package will greatly reduce the running costs of your fleet without the use of a complex, unreliable and difficult to maintain hybrid system.

Its rugged, yet comfortable cabin was designed with the operator in mind, featuring a powerful AC, great ergonomics and an AM/FM radio!

The Argon is available in three main versions:

City, a two door cargo van with a shortened cargo area.

People, with seating for up to nine.

And finally, Cargo, with the largest cargo area and the highest GVWR

Each version can be configured to meet the exact needs of its operators; call your local dealer for more details today!

With the update released today, the game has become completely unplayable no matter what I do, so this thread is gonna be inactive for a while longer

Hold on, what do you mean? Try posting your problem in Support, don’t just give up :open_mouth:

I posted the issue in the bug report thread on steam, but I found a work around, I’ll probably be posting a few car and updating old ones today or tomorrow.

The next vehicle I have for you is the (pretty shittily named) Freedom!

The is a small roadster whose weight ranges 2230lbs, to just below 2500. This incredibly low weight is made possible by the all aluminum chassis and panels which also give the body incredible rigidity. The Freedom also features unassisted steering, allowing for an emotional and direct driving experience.

It comes in five trims:
Sport, TrackDay, Carbon, Turbo and Touring.

The sport trim ($21,420) is the lightest, featuring simple seating and a two speaker stereo. Power is provided by a free revving, 2.3L, 238HP Naturally Aspirated inline six with an incredibly high redline of 8000 RPM. Due in no small part to it’s incredibly light weight, this trim is able to muster an incredible 33MPG with absolutely no hybrid equipment installed!

The next step up is the TrackDay trim ($22,960) Which features a more track oriented suspension tune.

Next is the Carbon trim ($27720) which features carbon fiber wheels and carbon ceramic brakes, with a faux carbon fiber trim on the inside of the vehicle. It also receives a stylized rear bumper, differentiating it from the other two trims.

The next two trims - Turbo and Touring - Receive a turbocharged variant of the 2.3L i6, which develops 330HP and 245ft/lbs of torque.
The touring trim is essentially an interior upgrade, receiving new, embroidered leather seats, and a the Karmon - Hardon sound system from the XT-R. Both trims feature a twin exhaust system.
