Basically anything 80s and a bit of 90s is better to my ears than modern music. Of course this is only my subjective opinion
I know that not many people agree, but I think that the first Nightwish album is amazing and clearly their best… not a single “weak” song on it.
For me it’s from 1982 to around 2010 or so - IMO it’s the golden age of modern pop/rock music, before EDM began to saturate the charts to the detriment of nearly everything else. (Coincidentally, that matches up with the era dominated by the mainly analog driver’s cars I grew up with.) There are still some musical gems from later years, though - you just know where to find them. It’s the same with cars as well.
