Well, 3 racecars which are number #1 of #1, so fairly rare
The 405 Mi16x4 is pretty rare too, thereās only 1 or 2 running in the country atm.

Iām not sure that these count as rare if you look at the right website but these are the cars my dad has ever owned (I donāt have a car)
1986 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
1994 Ford Taurus SHO with the MTX
Of the two Iām certain the Taurus is the more rare, though both are hard to find these days.
My ex gfās dad had the Mi16. Not as exclusive as x4 or T16 but still a rare car, and a nice one to drive.
I myself never had a chance to get a rare car. I guess my profile car is a bit more rare than other engine options, I heard itās somewhere around 80 000 out of couple of million, but thatās not the kind of exclusivity weāre looking for here.
I am, however, on a hunt for a Lancia Thesis, only a fraction of 17 000 examples built between 2002 and 2010 survive so it will be very rare one day.
I had a '1981 Saab 900 Turbo which was rare in that it had the low-compression, non-APC version of the H-series turbo engine. They only made that 2 years I think.
My current project car isnāt very common either, an Alfa Romeo 75 2-litre without twin spark head - only 2 years of that combination as well.
I think the rarest one was my old '76 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0. It was the āGT3ā of its time with a 930-series engine block, fiberglass fenders and 20 hp more than standard SC models had. It was even a Targa
version - not more than a couple hundred total were built.
Ford Focus MK2 RS ultimate green metallic.
No. 2929/11500
Sorry for the long absence. Ive been working my butt off, but here is a pic of my ānewā ride. I havenāt done much to it since I purchased it, but have some big plans for her for the upcoming cruising season
My Mustang is not a rare car, but option-wise it may be moderately rare.
A regular 1986 Mustang is rare? sortaā¦
It is 1 of 1,793 LX convertibles that did NOT come with a 5.0
(11,265 LX convertibles came with the 5.0 in 1986)
It is 1 of 745 total mustangs painted 7B Shadow Blue in 1986 (but there are much rarer colors).
Scratch that, I think itās the number of mustangs painted 7B that had the 5.0 or were the turbo.
Oh, and it has AC. I so wish to know how rare AC is in the LX convertiblesā¦
(If I could get the breakdown for how many non 5.0 LX convertibles were painted the 7B Shadow Blue and had ACā¦ But Ford doesnāt car about non 5.0 breakdown for the fox mustang)
[in the US market]
editedā¦
My dad has a 1969 Plymouth Barracuda Fastback.
Itās 1 of 11,827 fastbacks to be equipped originally with a V8 for that year.
There are only 60ish Vauxhall Cavalier Turbo 4x4ās left on UK roads (correct me if Iām wrong here)
Technically, seeing the only car Iāve ever owned is my Skoda Felicia Combiā¦ Yeah, sheād be the rarest Iāve ever owned. And thereās only one other post-FL Combi with color like that in my 20k town. Yeah! Sheās totally the rarest Iāve owned.
My 1995 Nissan Maxima is an exceedingly rare car.
Donāt laugh, I know, it sounds ridiculous, but hear me out. In Australia, we never got the American Nissan Maxima, instead we got the Infiniti I30 badged as the Maxima. This was sold in Japan as the Nissan Cefiro and Europe as the Nissan Maxima QX. Ok, sure, itās a bit rarer now, but still, everyoneās seen an I30, even in Europe where it sold terribly. Now, you can divide into trim levels, or series (there were four), but still, itās a pretty common car.
What isnāt common is mineās gearbox: a five speed manual. Only offered on the series one cars, this is what makes mine rare. Combined with the specification level, the middle range instead of the base spec, there is only one equivalent example on the road in Britain left, and there were only 11 in 2001 (6 years after they were made)
Draw your own conclusions, I canāt find any production numbers, but for the middle spec (the highest with the manual) there couldnāt have been more than 100 made by my reckoning with a manual.
Probably the least interesting post here, but still, worth it in my opinion
Since I still couldnāt find a good example of Lancia Thesis and I was on a lookout for a daily commuter anyway, I bought this little thing.
Iāve never considered this model as a car that suits my needs or taste, quite the contrary, I found it too girly, too cutesy. This particular example, however, which turned out to be one of only 500 made as a part of limited āVersusā edition, hit me like a lightning. It caught my eye with its distinctive special interior and exterior finish as well as quite generous equipment. And that was it really, I got bewitched and we went home together ;).
They sold around 20 of these in my conuntry so itās not a common sight. Still not as rare as I wish my car would be but hey, thatās one step closer, right?
I have now as a project VOLVO 145 EXPRESS, its only 4000 units made, mine is also very rare because its 5seater personal car, not 2seater van or 2+2 van.
Its going to have 2.5tdi from V70tdi 1997. There are only one that I know with that engine, but mine would differ other ways from that, its with boxstandard engine, mine will have 280hp. It has Volvo M90 gearbox, mine has 6speed ZF from 320D E46 BMW. Mine is 1971, frontbumper deleted, -67 front fenders, side exhaust and more.
That Lancia Thesis looks alot like the Buick Rendezvous. Especially the interior.
1995 Peugeot 106 Rallye 1.3
1987 Ford Laser TX3
I miss that car very muchā¦ Dad fettled up the Mazda B6 engine and made it really really fast and made a custom bodykit made out of Bomex bodykit from the Evo (?)
I wanted that car backā¦ Yesterday i saw an ad of the 4th or 5th owner selling that carā¦ Hey interior doesnāt changed very much but the front end is changedā¦ Maybe a crashā¦ I wanted to have that car againā¦
Edit: That car is soldā¦ That car always get owners quicklyā¦
My first car was the rarest car I owned.
1995 Jeep Cherokee XJ base model
RWD
5 Speed Manual
4.0L I6
Had it for 4 years until the floorboards rotted away and the clutch needed replacement. Now it sits in a scrapyard somewhere.
2000 Mitsubishi Galant ES V6.
Hardly rare, but much more so than my last car,
2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with 4 wheel drive, and the LM7 5.3L V8.
