Another Aussie here! Sydney. Would be awesome to meet some Automation/Car Lovers around here
Michigan! Where we experience all 4 seasons within a week and use our hand as a map!
I am also from the Holland, the West coast to be more precise…
I know, i know, we dont have a east coast, but it sounds much better than saying i live in The Hague.
I’m from the U.S.A in the state of Indiana…
California USA
I am FROM Kent in the southeast of the UK, but I LIVE in Almeria in southeast Spain.
Wow, what’s it like? I’ve been to Spain a few times, but not the south.
Where I live in Spain isn’t exactly what people think Spain is like. The weather is horrible. People love coming to Spain because it is warmer and drier than the UK, but here is a nightmare. In the winter it gets incredibly cold and windy and can very often be colder than in the UK. The wind adds an extra chill and the constant dryness doesn’t help either. The summer is unbearably hot. Most days from June to Septmeber are 35°C plus and can very often exceed 40°C. From October to July no rain can fall at all and then in the months of August and September all the rain that falls during the year comes down in the form of constant thunderstorms. Back in 2012, 11 inches (225 mm) of rain fell in just 6 hours, killing many and leaving thousands homeless. 11 inches of rain is the average rainfall for 15 months in this area. Also, the economy is in a complete state and if it doesn’t improve shortly I will not be able to get a job to fund going to university and if I am lucky enough to find a job, it is unlikely I will find a job in the career I have decided I want.
There are good things though. Anything related to roads in this country is amazing. There is hardly any traffic, the roads are in immaculate condition and there are numerous fantastic mountain roads. Where I live isn’t far from decently populated cities and the popular tourists resorts are a couple of hours drive. The beaches and countryside are the best in Europe. The healthcare system is one of the best in the entire world. No matter where you are or what shop or bar/restaurant you are in the people always treat you as their best friend even though they have never seen you before.
Everybody lives happier in this country and the lifestyle is just wonderful, it is just a shame about the weather and economy.
Can’t have it all I guess .
The only good thing here in the Isle of Man is the fact that there is no speed limit in certain parts of the island, and the TT motorbike races that happen every year in June is always a great event that attracts many people. The amount of people in the island during this time increases from 80,000 to about double that! I even saw Jared Leto here for the TT last year.
I’m from South Wales, In the UK. Everybody thinks we have an obsession with sheep for some reason.
Guys, visit this, edit the map (click on customise, left bottom) and mark your city/address or just the country!
I customised it, but after I finished, it just gave me a new URL to a map with my city and yours. Should I post the new URL?
Yeah, perhaps you should…
Ohh, so that’s what Den Haag means. I wondered because of the Dutch football team ADO Den Haag .
EDIT: I forgot to put that I found out it meant ‘The Hague’ because it said it on the map in the link .
@the other dutchman on this forum: If i am wrong, do correct me.
In english its The Hague,
But litterly translated: ‘‘Den/De’’ means The, as in the car, the lamp, the dog etc…
(Den and De mean the same, but Den is a bit oldfashioned and is only used in names, not in normal conversations)
and Haag means hedgerow.
But, in old dutch, (and still in use by some companies including some of the custumers of the company i work) is ‘’ ‘s-Gravenhage’’
Witch in turn means (again litterly!) the hedgerow of the count or the counts hedgerow.
And in holland, a ‘‘count’’ is just a title of nobility.
Thats the translation of Den Haag!
Sorry for the headace.
Edit:
The ‘‘ADO’’ of ‘‘ADO Den Haag’’ means Alles Door Oefening
Or in english Everything By/Trough Practice
And most people just say ADO in stead of ADO Den Haag when they talk about the club.
Edit2:
@salen00b:
just wondering, but is it true, that all Canadian people speak both English and French?
Or am I making a big fool of myself now… :s

A question is never stupid… unless it is meant to be that way.
We should be mostly bilingual in a way. But, history hangs on tight. You might have heard, double colonization, French and then English.
In the province of Québec, the great majority of people speak french and some are able to speak english more fluently than others.
The exception to this might be in Montréal where a good percentage of people are native english speakers/english-speaking immigrants or something along those lines.
The rest of Canada speaks mostly english with some groups of french speakers in some places.
The only province which seems to be truly bilingual is New-Brunswick.

Okay, nice to know.
I’d been wondering that a time now, thank you for answering!
