My computer’s down, fellas. Luckily, it happened after the race. I’m working on figuring out what’s going on.
It seems that a full PC cleanup did the trick. Seabreeze can be tricky on PCs around here. Hopefully, it holds up. I’ll get back to our challenge tomorrow.
hi im new this is the first time i try to join a challenges may i ask about
- Minimun sales: 1*
was that mean i need to make the car in campaign mode
thanks
Welcome, LUADTR! The car must be built in Sandbox mode, as Automation calculates sales by considering all cars within that mode. I set this requirement to prevent unrealistic cars from being created. Also, keep in mind that higher sales will earn you a bigger quality bonus for building competition cars. Providing clearer instructions and a FAQ section is one of my top priorities, and hopefully, it will be available tomorrow.
okayy thanks for the answer ,sorry for more question how do i calculate bonus for quality and how can i find that my car can have atleast 1 sales, since i need to make factory car and top speed car for upcoming event right ?
quality bonuses are based* on the cars rankings, so since you’re a* late entry you’ll have 0 bonus* for now.
sales are under the market tab here you can see my car that cost like a billion has 0 sales haha
(if I’m wrong on any of this some one feel free to correct me)
I’ll provide a table with the bonuses. It was available on the website until the last update. I’ll upload it again once the PC is back from the repair shop. PhirmEggplant is correct that you’ll have to proceed without any bonuses until the next factory car submission deadline. You can check the deadlines and some basic instructions on the website.
That looks expensive indeed! And fast! You’re right. Just to clarify, the rankings you mentioned refer to the factory car sales rankings.
Thanks. It was an experimental piece I was doing. 2500HP and only weights 1300LBS haha
Got the PC back today. Worked for less than a minute
After going back and forth to two repair shops in the last few days and spending a small fortune, my PC was still restarting after just a few seconds. It turns out that if I had tried to figure out the problem myself, I would have saved a lot of stress and money. After doing the first test at home, it seems that it was just a faulty RAM stick. Hopefully I’m right. I’ve been running it with only one stick for about 30 minutes now, and it’s still going. The bad news is that I haven’t made much progress since the PC broke down. Fingers crossed I can get some work done now. This rat’s nest is actually my PC.
I hope this is clearer. Let me know if you think there’s anything I can add or remove to better assist new players. I still owe you the detailed information and the FAQ section, along with the post containing the Drag Race results, reputation scores, and the table of available bonuses. A lot has piled up while the PC was down.
To confirm: the quality bonuses for the Speed Record Attempt are the same as those for the Drag Race. New players won’t receive a bonus this round, but they will in the next competition.
Still probably better specs then mine
good looking parts bin, I mean PC haha.
I just got a 1070 upgrade from an amigo if that tells you how outdated my system is.
I do have one question about the competition, is the second factory car submissions 1946 or when will we know what to start building for the next event after the salt flats?
I know its still a couple weeks off I’m just curios
We will likely have three factory car deadlines and six competitions per year / season, so yes, we’ll still be in 1946 for the second factory car submission.
Will the years go up by 10 evey three factory cars, or will it slowly lead up to newer cars?
The initial idea is to proceed gradually, covering the period from 1946 to 1990. If each season takes approximately four real months, the entire project will span around 15 real years
