2019 New York International Auto Show

While I don’t have any cool company lore since I’m awful at writing it, De Vass Automobiles is a pseudo-premium kind of car manufacturer. While they do offer quite comfortable cars with decent performance at affordable prices, De Vass is well known for cutting corners to achieve this. They do so mainly in the tech department (at least for the civilian market). The engines they produce are sometimes not entirely up to date and the chassis and panels aren’t always made of the lightest and most modern materials.

For example, they were still using single point EFI in the early 2000s on some car models, such as the year 2000 Roamer (the police version got multi point injection), because they wanted to keep the price low. They even opted to continue using a ladder chassis for the 2008 Roamer (will be in my thread later) to keep the prices low while offering a comfortable car at a decent price.

New York, 2019.

A crowd of people has gathered around Module’s press conference, waiting for the reveal. The lights in the place go out for a brief moment before several clusters of LEDs are fired up, filling the atmosphere with blue and purple light. Activate Your Steel by Megadrive is soon followed by the muffled sound of a v8, as an SUV covered in camouflage drives onto the stand.

A man and a woman, both in skintight neon suits and wearing cyberpunk-looking glasses, get out of the car and start ripping the camouflage off of it, revealing every detail and crevice, sculpted shape and feature in the car. The car’s HUD then writes “XR-20” on the front and rear windshields. The crowd applauds as the CEO of Module walks towards the car and the presentation begins.

The new XR-20 is the purest expression of futuristic comfort and luxury. Futuristic lines, bringing attention from the front to the back and to the front again; a powerful presence, and, most importantly, all the uniqueness you’d expect from a Module. Your SUV has travelled back in time from the future, just for you, and it’s finally yours to enjoy.

A powerful and reliable 5 liter v8 with mild hybridization lies underneath the XR-20’s bonnet, ready to deliver 400 horsepower and return 28.5MPG combined (numbers tested on 91 RON, will improve on premium petrol). Power is delivered smoothly, confidently, and on demand. The 0-62 sprint is completed in only 5 seconds, with the power being sent to the rear wheels only.

Synthetic leather seats, comfortable yet futuristic interior finished with alcantara and our famous adjustable LED system, plenty of space for all five occupants and heated seats, advanced infotainment featuring HUD (heads-up display) with hologram-like features and advanced safety. Whenever you’re in a Module, you’re in the future, and the XR-20 is no exception.

Of course, the new XR-20 couldn’t come from the future without featuring level 3 autonomy. And that comes paired with the full set of driving aids with your comfort in long trips in mind: autopilot (requires monitoring from the driver), lane departure assist, automatic emergency braking, fatigue detector…once again, your Module is on your side.

Module is always one step in front of the competition in terms of styling, and that shows in the XR-20. It has a strong concept car feel to it, from the way every element and cue is placed and sculpted to the overall shape, daring to be different. That doesn’t mean we forgot where we came from: the XR-20 pays tribute to previous cars such as the UR-82 and UR-92, as well as share details with the current UR-15.

The new Module XR-20 will start selling in October 2019.

Evgenis are proud to present the all-new generation of the Evgenis Typhon compact executive vehicle at the NYIAS, the next step in ultimate Evgenis motoring, luxury and design. The full reveal is taking place, including the fastback, wagon, ES and brand-new Mayfair model of the Typhon.

The new Evgenis Typhon is the first since its launch that will not come with a sedan variant. The fastback design is far more practical for everyday use thanks to easier access to the class-leading capacity boot. All versions of the Typhon will be available in this design, including the standard model range, Mayfair and ES model.

The Typhon will launch with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, 3.0-litre turbo petrol engine or a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine, with more engines, including PHEV and EV, to come in the future. All engines feature MHEV systems and cylinder deactivation to boost fuel economy to unrivalled levels.

The fastback design is sleek and sporty in nature, with aggressive yet tasteful features throughout the exterior of the car. A wide variety of styling packs, alloy wheel designs and colours will be available to the Typhon, with further customisation available through the Evgenis Custom Collection scheme.

The high-quality, “premium, standard” interior shines through in the Typhon, with advanced technology including large infotainment screen and standard digital cockpit across the range, as well the use of high-end materials and exceptional finish to make this a true premium product.

For those who search a more active or practical lifestyle, the wagon is the obvious choice. Coming to all markets at launch alongside the fastback model, the wagon shall be offered in most variants, including the new Mayfair model. Much like the fastback, our new more practical approach has allowed to us to also make the wagon a class-leader for load capacity and passenger space.

Much like the fastback, the same range of petrol and diesel engines will be available from launch, with more eco-friendly variants available in the near future.

The fastback design is carried over effortlessly to this wagon design, keeping the crisp lines and aggressive stance, while still looking effortlessly classy and premium.

Again, much like the fastback, the wagon features an exceptionally classy interior with advanced technologies. The wagon features some extra practical features to make like easier, such as electrically-folding 40:20:40 rear seats, electric tailgate as standard, multi-level adjustable boot floor, retractable and stowaway parcel shelf, adjustable dividers, bag hooks and so much more to make your life as easy as possible.

A new design and trim level will be available on the Typhon in both fastback and wagon guises. Unlike most “sports-like” trim levels, this is actually a more sporty variant of the 3.0-litre turbo model of the car. Although there are no power upgrades, improvements have been made to make the driving experience as enjoyable as possible.

The ES-Line improves driving abilities thanks to a LSD, better tyres, a sportier suspension setup and further changes to the electronics of the vehicle to allow for a better driving experience. The ES-Line is only available with the 3.0-litre engine producing a comfortable 300 bhp allowing for comfortable levels of performance available at all times.

Design upgrades are apparent both outside and inside. A more aggressive appearance is instantly recognisable for the ES-Line, as well as it being lower to the ground. Larger alloy wheels, carbon fibre trim pieces and larger vents and rear diffuser all make this look the part. Inside, more vibrant stitching, contrasting seat belts, black roof lining and carbon fibre elements elevate the interior to match the sporting personality.

If sporty isn’t what you are looking for though, perhaps you would be interested in going the other way? The Mayfair line is a brand new addition to the Evgenis brand and is launching on the Typhon, offering an even more extreme luxury experience for those who search for the ultimate levels of comfort.

Solely available once more with the 3.0-litre turbo petrol in fastback variant from launch (more to come in the near future), the Mayfair offers exclusive options that can only be obtained on this model, including special paint colours, exclusive alloy wheel designs and a distincive look on the outside, as well as standard-fit nappa leather in multiple colour choices, extended leather usage in the interior as well as more plush materials for the inside.

The driving experience is also elevated, with the automatic gearbox being tuned to maximise comfort, air suspension and variable dampers assisted by advanced suspension technology that reads the road ahead and prepares the suspension for an incoming bump. Sit down, listen to the music through the 18-speaker audio system, turn on the massage seats, and waft away. Sounds like heaven.

No Evgenis lineup is ever complete without an ES variant, and the Typhon offers exactly that. The Typhon also is the first to offer our brand new, 3.7-litre turbocharged inline-6 engine producing 510 bhp, to replace the 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 used up until now. As of now, Evgenis will no longer offer a V8 on any new model. The new engine is more efficient yet also more powerful than the engine it replaces, a win-win in anybody’s books.

The ES is set to offer unrivalled levels of performance and unbeatable driving experience, clocking in an impressive 1:19 around a certain Airfield track thanks to advanced aerodynamics, fine-tuned suspension and brake setup, as well as the powerful engine mated to a dual-clutch gearbox, allowing this RWD only beast to get from 0-100 kph in 4 seconds and on to a top speed limited to 300 kph (can be optionally removed to increase this to 315 kph)

The ES will not be available from launch, but will arrive in Q4 2019 in all markets and fastback variant only.

Available in all markets to order in June 2019, deliveries in September 2019.

[OLD] Evgenis Automobiles - no longer updated

After 6 years of the Pulse 6, it’s time to retire it, but not without a bang.
It’s the RMC PST6 (Pulse Sport Turbo), no longer called the Pulse 6 on it’s own, it’s a special model with Adaptive Sports suspension, more advanced tech in safety and comfort and now with turbo charging. The much loved 3.2 i6 got a turbo and is making over 540 hp.

The Price is yet unknown, but since the regular pulse cost around 42k, we can expect this to be near double that.

There will be a limited run of these and they will be sold in small batches until the 2020 Pulse replacement is unveiled.

Corsica Motor Company - A New Look for Sisten and Corsica

AL Autos at The 2019 New York International Auto Show (1/2)

Hello one and all! Welcome to the AL Autos booth here at the 2019 New York International Auto Show in wonderful New York! With us today, we have 2 cars to present to the public over the course of the next few days. For today, we have one of our peppy sports cars which we have been itching to show to the world!

The AL Autos Aranea! Time to have some fun!

RGSC2 Shown in AL Blue

Ever since our company started up, we’ve always dreamed of making a fun 2 door sporty convertible that would be incredibly fun to drive and available to all! So early on in our company history, we took on the challenge of making a fun two door sports convertible for the masses. We’ve gone through many trials of it such as the AL Autos Pacto released back at the 2017 Antiyita Motor Show and many other iterations which never made it past the testing phase or just never got released to the public, reason being, it didn’t really match up to our expectations. Now, we’ve decided to take on the challenge again, and here today, we have the results of our work, the Aranea. A lot of focus was put on how the Aranea will handle through the corners. For starters, we stuck on AL Road Sport tires that will hug the road. Next, we tuned the new semi-active AL Road Sport suspension setup to make sure that the car will hug the corners. Being one of our first front engine RWD vehicles, we wanted to make sure that we tamed the oversteer which usually sneaks in from time to time. Afterwards, the peppy engines were focused on. The Aranea comes with a choice of 3 engines. The first two are ALA made: a 1.5 L Turbocharged straight 4 producing 185 BHP and 149 lb-ft torque, and a 1.8 L Turbocharged Straight 4 producing 264 BHP and 193 lb-ft torque.

RGSC DTD Shown in AL Fire Red

The third engine marks the return of our specialized tuning division, the Draconis Tuning Division (DTD for short), with a specially tuned 2.0 L Turbocharged Straight 4 producing 305.2 BHP and 216.1 lb-ft torque.

As standard, all engines are mated to either 5 or 6 speed manual transmissions. AL Tech Quickshift automatics are also available upon request (none, however, are available for test drive here at the auto show this year). No matter the trim, however, the Aranea aims to please drivers with a sporty feel and a super fun drive!

RGSC Trim shown in AL Neon Green

The Aranea has three interior trims unique to the three trims of the Aranea. Each of the three trims provide a sporty yet comfortable feel to occupants which set foot in the Aranea. The RGSC trim gets our ALStandard Comfort adjustable seats. The RGSC2 gets ALRoadSport adjustable bucket seats which hug the driver. Finally, the returning RGSC DTD gets specialized DTD bucket seats which hug the driver and provide astounding support. All trims come with inviting sporty interiors. The RGSC2 and RGSC DTD come standard with a 6” screen with our newly designed ALAutos-Infotainmen system. The RGSC DTD trim comes with a few added bells and whistles as well such as DTD exclusive gear lever and DTD inspired trim. The Aranea aims to provide a sporty experience whether you’re in urban areas, city streets, long stretches of highway, or twisty backroads!

RGSC DTD shown in AL Fiery Red

Prices for the Aranea are as follows (Prices include a 20% Markup):
RGSC: $27,845
RGSC2: $35,512
RGSC DTD: $41,111

Want to see more?

An in-depth spec sheet will be posted on our official website soon!

That’s all for now! Thank you for joining us here at the 2019 New York International Auto Show! Stay tuned as we will be presenting a new model that will be joining the AL Autos lineup! If you would like to test drive our newly released car, we have some models which you can drive today! Just let us know! Have a wonderful day!

Huangdou Press Event

Huangdou is proud to present two new crossovers at the New York International Auto Show: The Baolei and the CC allure. Both aim to diversify the brand’s crossover lineup to better fit the demands of not only the North American market, but the Chinese market as well.

Huangdou Baolei

The Baolei is the brand’s first ever full-size crossover, coming in both internal combustion and EV variants. Housing a 276-horsepower V6 engine developed by Jinhe, the Baolei packs enough power to push the vehicle forward, while still maintaining up to 35 miles-per-gallon. The Baolei seats 7 in a captain’s chair configuration, with an 8-seat configuration as a free option.

On top trims of the Baolei, technology such as cabin voice assist (like the one seen in the Honda Odyssey) is standard to ensure the family stays safe and comfortable through the entire trip. A kick-operated tailgate, swiveling and smart fold captain’s chairs, dooring alert systems, and all the rest of the tech seen on top-level Huangdous are included. (Yes, that means the anime girl holographic display, and the HUD, AND all the safety and entertainment tech from the CC is in this too. Weebs rejoice)

Alongside the internal combustion engines, a fully electric variant has been developed as well, making the Baolei the very first 7-seater fully-electric vehicle in the world. The dual motor all-wheel-drive system sends the Baolei to 60 in 6.6 seconds, with an estimated top speed of roughly 267 km/h.

The Huangdou Baolei starts at $25710 with the Cu trim. There are no rumours for sport trims any time soon.

Cu FWD: $25710
Cu AWD: $27310
Ag FWD: $31840
Ag AWD: $33830
Au FWD: $42820
Au AWD: $45500
eV: $46760

Huangdou CC allure.

The allure. version of Huangdous brave the avant-garde, taking risks that other carmakers wouldn’t usually resort to making. This time around, Huangdou abused the name for a compact crossover has transformed the CC into a hip, artsy compact crossover for the youthful generation. Its macpherson/trailing arm setup ensures optimal ride quality at an affordable price, while its fuel economy tops at a record-breaking 61 mpg.

Like other Huangdous, all the communications and safety tech (including the holographic anime girl. Weebs rejoice once again) is standard.

As a throwback to the CC-100S of the nineties, the CC allure. will be offered in a convertible coupe trim, offering 4 seats for top-down cruises with friends. The spare tire has been removed from the original CC-100S due to practicality concerns.

A fully-electric trim will also be offered for the allure. Originally revealed at Auto Shanghai, the allure. EV will also be brought over to the Americas. Its performance is not ignored as well, as the eV’s AWD system pushes the crossover to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds. Range is to be announced.

The 2020 Saminda C3 is the greatest C3 ever.

The Saminda C3 have been around for more than 55 years, and the tenth generation C3 will be much stylish, safer, quicker and more efficient. And it’s time to debut in the 2019 New York Auto Show.

Of course what we are seeing now is a concept version, but Saminda says it will look very similiar to it production version. It will ride on the latest New Structural Platform also known as nS platform. The nS platform currently underpins on the PonQi and C7, the nS platform is much more stiffer for a more engaging drive.

But it’s not just sporty that will be in the new C3, Saminda claims it will be also much comfortable and more leg room because the whole car is almost 1 inch longer.

Now here comes the interesting part, the powertrain, we got some information from Saminda about the engine option, atleast in the United States, it will be powered by either a 1.8-liter naturally aspirated or a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, we don’t know the turbocharged engine will make how much horses but the naturally aspirated will make around 148bhp.

While the C3 is one of the top-selling vehicles of all time, sales are declining as the popularity of sedans continues to decrease, but Saminda hopes the new redesign C3 will work to increase interest and better compete in the dwindling sedan market.

Saminda Motor Co - The reinvented all new CR1, The Subcompact SUV that changes the game

A turbocharged version of the 1.8 is what the new C3 deserves if it is to challenge hot compacts such as the I30 N and Civic Type R. While I’m at it, I’d suggest a retuned chassis to go along with the punchier engine, ensuring that it can deal with twisty roads while retaining a supple ride. Fingers crossed the resulting hot version debuts in a few months’ time.

Hornet in the 2019 NYIAS

this year marks Hornet’s first year in the 2019 New York International Auto Show, presenting considerably known models such as the Selena and Sidion.

One model, however, is considerably different from the others, with the help of 21 special individuals from Hornet’s high-tech division, a new age of Hornet may be flourished.

The Hornet Ventuno (21 in Italian) is a project in which creating a “Grand Tourer that would stand out from everyone else,” is then fleshed out to reality.

The upscale Korean grand tourer utilizes the traditional 2+2 layout, with a considerable twist that makes the car different from many other GTs available in the market today; it’s mid-engined as well.

The 21 designers and engineers that lead the development of this car made sure that it would be a car that would come from Hornet, but a Hornet that would be memorable in the eyes of many.

Utilizing an AIGCS courtesy of Zenshi and Fujitsu, modified solely for the car, the digital display allows the driver to know more about the car and utilize tools such as navigation with ease.

Powering the Ventuno is a highly modified version of Hornet’s Talos 2.4L Inline-4 engine, outfitted with a turbocharger, as well as Hornet’s Thor Hybrid System (THS) which utilizes direct drive electric motors on the front wheels, assisting in overall power delivery and stability of the Ventuno. With a 7-Speed Dual-Clutch Transmission, Combined power output is 480 HP, and the unique grand tourer will hit 60 MPH in less than 4 seconds.

We want to show the world that Hornet is ready to get on a whole new level with the competition, and that we’re not afraid to throw our punches.

Press Event // 2020 Cheyenne

A large SUV rolls up on stage, with a V8 growl, to the tone of Arsenal Bird

The all-new, all-powerful, and now-RWD Cheyenne is finally here - take a look.

A muscular build, capable appearance and matching ability beneath the skin, the Cheyenne is just getting better and better. Go anywhere, and do anything for real.

Since the last Cheyenne received quite a favorable reception, we’ve kept the basic formula - with some enhancements, of course. City mileage crosses 25, highway over 30. The rear wheels or all four are driven via electronic/manually controlled differentials, giving sway to the go-anywhere advertising.

More quality of life improvements inside - the old V6 has been replaced, and two more engines are slated for injection into the new SUV. A standard 278 horsepower V6, higher-trim 552 horsepower V8 and a mid range 376 horsepower turbocharged V6 pull the Cheyenne onto the world stage.

The Cheyenne has more than just grunt, of course. Our renowned suite of driver assistance is available, as usual, offering automatic, toggle-able emergency braking, lane keep assist, and the effective ‘Z-Axis’ collision avoidance system.

Inside, finally, the Cheyenne offers even more - premium seating for up to seven, AutoConnect mobile device integration with a high-quality HUD and infotainment setup come with the XLT trim as standard. To top it all off, the Cheyenne even offers a rear windscreen wiper.

The new Cheyenne is due to enter the market in August 2019.

Press Event // 2020 Safehaven

After almost thirteen years, the new Safehaven light truck returns to New York to mark a new generation for the best-selling, best-working American icon.

Strong lines, strong character - backed by exceptional capability and an exceptional heritage bring the Safehaven into the new decade. The already-great light truck just gets better and better.

Fuel economy, even with our conventional ladder-frame and leaf-spring setup, crosses 36 combined, and nears 40 on the highway. The rear wheels are driven on the base model Work Truck, and all four are used in the SLT, optionally, while the Garuda ORD and XLT get two powered axles standard.

Off-road ability, of course, isn’t missing - all four-wheel drive models receive a manual locking differential front, rear and center. The Garuda model receives almost twenty inches of ground clearance, the XLT more than enough and two-wheel drive models less to ease loading.

Engines, too, are still excellent - a turbocharged 2.6 liter 4 cylinder or 3.7 liter 5 cylinder offer huge amounts of torque backed by an even larger amount of efficiency.

Standard Z-Axis collision avoidance systems are present on the SLT model and above, as with all of our vehicles. Excellent entertainment systems with integrated satellite GPS and 4G LTE are present, offering the ability to stay connected no matter where you are.

Inside, two, three or five seats are available, while a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic bring the Safehaven’s power to the ground. A sliding rear window is optional, as is a sunroof.

The Safehaven will begin to arrive at dealers in mid July 2019.

EcaMobile at NYNAS2019

Saving the world just became more luxurious.

We are proud to finally reveal the EcaMobile “Small Bid”.
After many years of research and designing we are finally able to show the pre-production car.
The ‘Small Bid’ is going to be our first Super Eco car and we are expecting to start production next year.

The car itself was designed to be able to as fuel-efficient as possible while giving the driver not only all the comfort they should expect from any EcaMobile, but also still have its own sporty soul.

To achieve this we went with many new and extreme ideas.
The body was designed to have as less drag as possible and is made 100% out of Aluminium.
Said shell is then sitting on a newly engineered Aluminium Semi-Spaceframe.
Both Front and Rear Pushrod Suspensions are made from light composite material to make them light and strong.

The engine itself is also a completely new design for EcaMobile. Our brilliant minds of Pfeil Performance created a 0.7L Turbo I3 for this car.
This engine generates 78hp and 100NM which is enough to bring the light slippery shell to 240km/h.
For best vehicle balance the engine is fitted behind the 2 seats is a Mid-engined way.
This light engine is coupled to a special 6 Speed sequential gearbox, which is able to change its behaviour accordingly to the selected drivemode.
To make it extra efficient in any situation it is fitted with a completely flat underbody and an active cooling system which closes of vents when not needed.
Even the lip and rear flaps are able to align themself for perfect airflow.
With all these measurements we can get up to 80mpg for combined and numbers way past 100mpg for city driving.

The car can seat 2 people in a Carbon Fiber / Leather interior, featuring massage seats and RGB mood lighting. The car also comes with our top-notch Audio equipment and Infotainment. We even are trying to integrate autonom driving into this car. So if we have a breakthrough in that, this will be the first car to get it.

As stated before we are trying to finalize the design in the coming months and start production next year.
For pricing and other trims you can follow us on your social medias.

EcaMobile - The Ace on the River

How much power does that turbo four make on its own? At any rate, I am not sure that people are going to buy a four-cylinder, mid-engined grand tourer, but I am certain that it will be very fast indeed.
