Body-on-Frame

Is there any good reason to use body-on-frame/ladder for any new platform that isn’t a utility vehicle post-1980 or so? Except for novelty or a self-imposed challenge?

Because unibody is much better in terms of rigidity and safety. Also since the manufacturing costs of making unibody chassis have gone down, theres not much point in making ladder chassis for anything that isnt a utility vehicle.

You want to roleplay and imagine your car will be turned in to a stretch limo often - something that’s easier with a frame (Please see: Lincoln Town Car). In game? Absolutely not.
