Extreme Drag Racing

@Spool: I assume you are talking about aftermarket tires that are NOT on the production car? I know of no car manufacturer that puts really soft drag-race rubber on their production cars :stuck_out_tongue:

Mickey Thompson Street Radials fair enough because you can’t even drive in the wet with them but a tyre like the Falken Azenis RT615 would definitely be a contender. Compare this to a Pirelli Pzero Trofeo which is a factory fitted tyre and it has better treadlife, straightline grip at a vastly cheaper price. The Azenis is not alone, Toyo R888s are also a sensible alternative for all weather driving while offering improved grip.

I just see a 900kg Datsun 120y on that list with a 3.0L turboed I6 with a twin cam head and 205mm wide street legal semi slicks on that list punching out 10.419 sec 1/4 and say…why not Automation?

Remember, Pirelli once was (And still is) the aftermarket!

What is its time in Automation? Did you make an exact-as-possible replica of it to see how many percent grip seem to be missing?

I’ll get back to you on that one chief and message you with the results.

That would be very helpful, thanks!

still running? also is front engine mandatory? and what about modded cars?

Did you check to see how old the topic is?
