At Evgenis, we’re confused. Although Kimura patented the X-Land back in 2018, the Terranova was patented around the same time but never brought to production and scrapped as Evgenis did not believe people would be interested in a small, rugged, premium 4x4 like the recent revelations from Jiangsu Silfox and Kimura. In order to avoid leagal conflict, Evgenis personally contacted both manufacturers to confirm that, although similarities are apparent, none of this was intentional in any way or form, and thankfully there is no risk of us cashing in on their high-risk, low reward efforts to aim at a sector that is long dead.
Having said this and to raise awareness that potentially Jiangsu Silfox did absolutely nothing wrong and that it may well be a mere coincidence, Evgenis has revealed a couple of official images of the scrapped but production-ready Evgenis Terranova 1.2T 4x4 to clarify that this… well it can just happen.
Evgenis will be taking no legal action in this case, but will be assisting in the investigation of what has happened here. Evgenis has long partnerships with both Shromet and Kimura and hopes that the dispute can be resolved amicably.

Ursula Confirms Cancellation of Production Version of the SX1 Concept

BREMEN: Revealed in 2018 Geneva Motor Show, the SX1 Concept mini-SUV was originally going to conceived this year. However, for some reason this isn’t going to happen. On this day, Ursula AG spokesman confirmed this notion in a online press release of the upcoming new eV-R sports car.

The spokesman stated that the cancellation of the production SX1 is because of the uncertainty of current events and economy, as well as shifting focus to electric vehicles, but photos of the near-production model shows that the new SX1 is similar to several vehicles including the Jiangsu Slifox “Land Crossing New Energy” city crossover, which became a sensation on automobile circles this week due to strong similarities to the upcoming Kimura X-Land.

Nevertheless, it’s a relief that Ursula, Germany’s second largest automaker is avoiding a lawsuit and a financial loss by cancelling the SX1. However, with the cancellation the chances of getting a mini SUV from Ursula isn’t happening, for now.

Nanjing, China. Pressured into 3rd party Arbitration by their largest shareholder, Shromet, Automaker Silfox largely folds to Kimura’s demands, agreeing to redesign and rename their upcoming Land Crossing EV. The model will remain on sale in China exclusively, however, the facelift has been given expedited priority, due to arrive within 1 year. In addition, Kimura will receive a perpetual royalty on every Land Crossing model sold until the facelifted and renamed model arrives.

Nanjing, China. Silfox announces it will purchase a majority stake in the electric automotive startup, Galvani Automotive, with the intention of spreading its global reach, planning to use a direct-to-consumer sales model in most markets. Instead of building its cars as trim levels, a method of building variations common used in the industry, each car will be ordered by the buyer and customized using equipment packages, though variations will be limited. In addition, the brand will offer a subscription based service to customers. Users can operate the service, which is set to include numerous lifestyle benefits, for a month at a time in addition to being able to share vehicles out on a short-term basis to other consumers.
The purchase will completed for 14.3$ Billion USD, for what is a “Majority Stake” in the company.
Silfox plans to build upon the brand’s portfolio of existing models and integrate its own self driving technology and AI assistants in the coming years, and will begin homologating the brands globally within the next years.

Using packages more than trims to configure the car for each individual buyer is actually a real strategy used mostly by the German premium brands, but in Europe. In general the same cars offered both in Europe and USA will have more configurational freedom in Europe, due to European buyers being more willing to configure the car themselves, while American ones prefer getting pre-made ones. There’s less of one thing in euro configuration though - trims themselves! That’s logical though, when you can choose engines as an option inside a trim and then add equipment individually or in packages. Because yes - while there are usually some limitations, you can get various engines with various trims in a typical car in Europe (in Škoda Superb you can have base engine and top trim or base trim and top engine, no problem), whereas in the US there a few engines (no diesels, no as weak ones as the base in Europe) and quite often it’s one engine per trim.

Yes and no. When in 144hz mode, the battery lasts a little under 13 hours, however, there is a 60hz battery saving mode that increases the battery life to over 16 hours.
