Kimura Motor Co., Ltd. (木村技研工業) {RETIRED THREAD}

To answer your question on the Auburn, a high-performance model is planned.

As for the 4M-Sport, it didn’t enter production due to a lack of market. While it was fully developed and entered a prototype stage, the costs to build were deemed too high for the expected demand and price.

Kimura would like to wish everyone a very spooky Halloween.

It’s!

Is this a hatchback version of the Auburn (which I feel deserves to be remade in UE4, if it hasn’t been already), or a completely new model from Kimura?

Edit: So it is the UE4 rendition of the Auburn, and I expect the trim being shown to be a higher-performance model compared to what has been shown previously.

It’s the Auburn, and the photo was made in UE4.

Devorak by Kimura. A family hauler, back-road brawler, and all-terrain crawler.

LCi4 trim shown in Damask Red Metallic.

The 5th generation Kimura Devorak was unveiled to the public at the 2018 North American International Auto Show. The Devorak is underpinned with an all-new platform related to the CM-T platform called the E-HCM (Extended-High Capacity Modular) Global platform. 4-wheel independent suspension, then, is standard on all models. Propelling the US market Devorak are 3 engines; an economical turbocharged 2.3l Inline-4, a balanced 3.3l V6, and a powerful twin-turbocharged 3.3l V6. Power outputs range from 240 HP to 300 HP and all engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. V6 models are available with adaptive 4WD, which can send up to 70% of the power to the rear wheels and 100% of the power to the front wheels in slippery conditions. 4WD V6 models have competitive tow rating of 5000 lbs. Thanks to advances in Kimura’s aluminium technology, over 55% of the panels including the doors, hood, and trunk, are created from aluminium. This, in conjunction with meticulous suspension tuning, provides a surprisingly dainty driving experience from such a burly vehicle. A tight turning circle does not impede a casual highway drive with electronically adjustable suspension. The top trims are available with adaptive dampers which can modulate suspension travel hundred of times every second, which can be programmed for on-road and off-road driving. The Devorak was designed to shrink around the driver, and that is exactly what we have accomplished with the latest model.

LCi4 trim shown in Damask Red Metallic.

The Devorak symbolizes the pinnacle of style inside the cabin. An 8.5" screen is standard on all models, with a 10" unit optional on all trims and standard on LC trims. ClearSense²™ makes it’s return in the Devorak with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Automatic braking, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring, Pedestrian Detection Systems, and KimuraGuard™ are also available. Heavily inspired by nature, the interior of the Devorak clearly is an advanced, luxurious counterpart to it’s competitors. On LC trims, the center middle seat is swapped out for 2 captain’s chairs for maximum comfort and space. The design of the Devorak is completely new from the ground up; sharp edges are complemented by rounded details throughout the large body. Prismatic headlights are utilized on an imposingly elegant front end, with a sweeping design to the angular and intricate rear. The new Devorak is a demonstration that Kimura can build an SUV that can conquer any place with style.

Looks nice, feels nice - so does it share its platform with the Auriga? That may explain how comfortable and vivacious it feels on the road… Or off-road, for that matter.

1985 TKR-C by Kimura. Combining the pinnacle of Kimura with the best of Bertone.

Kimura and Bertone joined forces in 1985 to create the TKR-C (Turbo K-RR Coupe), a powerful and comfortable 2-seater with presence to boot. A 2.2L turbocharged inline-4 was utilized with over 200 HP being sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual. Combined with an easy-repair fiberglass body, the TKR-C was able to rocket from 0-62 in under 6 and a half seconds, and weighed it at just 2218 lbs (1006 kg). 4-wheel double wishbone suspension and 4-wheel disc brakes keep the TKR-C in check at all times. Sports-tuned suspension and a limited slip differential give the Kimura sprightly, energetic handling at all speeds. Only 5,000 of this limited-run model were produces from 1985 to 1986, with the far less expensive Helruna spiritually replacing the TKR-C in 1990.

Note: I don’t actually have any connections with Bertone (duh), this car is pretty obviously fictional and I wanted to make a Bertone-style car. Please don’t sue

Stop it.

My 80s gland can only take so much :weary:

If there was any car from Kimura that deserved the Bertone treatment, the TKR-C would have been it. And its instrument panel would definitely have made it feel like something from Star Wars, as if the futuristic styling and punchy turbo engine didn’t convince me enough already!

Lemaitre by Kimura. Making electric cars interesting.

LCe trim shown in Niagara Aqua Metallic.

Unveiled at the 89th International Auto Show at Geneva, the Lemaitre is Kimura’s first-ever mass production electric car. Utilizing the CM-T platform that underpins almost all modern Kimura vehicles, the Lemaitre proves that electrification is viable on the new platform. 4-wheel independent suspension is standard on all models and provides a supple ride with sporty driving dynamics. Almost 75% of the car’s major components are made from aluminum, shaving weight down to under 1600 KG. Under greatest scrutiny, of course, are the motor and battery specifications; with a flat 65.5 kWh lithium-ion battery that remains under the floor and a 185-horsepower Permanent-magnet, synchronous AC motor, the Lemaitre is efficient yet exciting. Don’t worry about range anxiety, either; the Lemaitre gets an EPA estimated 280 miles of range. The suspension can be adjusted from comfort to sport as well as the regenerative braking using the infotainment. Overall, the Lemaitre is a concise package that should feel like any other car - underneath, however, it breaks grounds for the company.

LCe trim shown in Niagara Aqua Metallic.

Inside, the Lemaitre takes on a retro-modern take on an electric car interior. A massive 14" display is standard on all models and controls most of the vehicle’s functions such as radio, navigation, and interior lighting. ClearSense³™ debuts in the Lemaitre along with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. A whole suite of active safety features in KimuraGuard™ are available. With a digital display that harks back to the original display of the first Kimura Auburn, the overall interior aesthetic is chic yet completely contemporary. In terms of the exterior design, simplicity is key. An elegant front end flows nicely into the geometric rear, both of which are complemented by gloss black “masks” that help to accentuate the car’s wide stance. An illuminated plug-in socket provides a nice touch to the car’s design. Overall, the Lemaitre is elegant inside and out, providing the perfect start to Kimura’s electric car production.

All-new for 2015, the 4th generation Kimura Helruna stunned crowds around the world at the Los Angeles Auto Show with its striking style and improved performance. 2 engine options are available, both being turbocharged inline-4’s with power outputs ranging from 186 to 258 hp. A 6-speed manual is standard on all trims whilst an 8-speed automatic is optional on SXt and SCt trims. Thanks to copious use of high-strength steel and aluminum in the body and chassis, weight is kept down to under 1300 kg on every trim - even with 2+2 seating. Helruna’s classic FR layout guarantees that your driving experience is as zesty as any high-performance sports car. Honed at Tokachi International Speedway, the home of Kimura Racing-Ralliart, the fine-tuned double wishbone and multi-link suspension provides the perfect balance of control, athleticism, and comfort at all speeds. Most of all, the Helruna rewards the driver for learning the nuances in the joys of driving - no matter what your skill level is, you will be able to enjoy the Helruna as an every day sports car.

SCt trim shown in San Francisco Blue Metallic.

Great care was taken when designing the 2015 Helruna. With global consultation and styles considered from every walk of life, we have created this finished design that equalizes elegance with true sporty intent. Inside, the interior prioritizes its driver; a perfect, low driving position that is creates an open, airy space that remains high-quality and bright with colored accenting. Within its simple, flowing body and balanced proportions lies great detail from every angle. The side vents and body line hark back to the original Hokkaido Motors K-1000C of the 1950s, and has since been a design tradition for all Kimura sports machines. No matter what angle you look from, the Helruna is sure to leave an impression on its audience; this is just a small taste of what lies beneath the skin.

This is the car whose design and engineering was decided in CSC1 if I’m not mistaken. My ideal spec for this generation of Helruna would be a top-shelf, manual-only, KR-R with every option box ticked, including the Active Safety and Track Packages, and ordered in San Francisco Blue Metallic with a Victoria Beige interior.

Body-colored accents, ambient lighting, and a customizable interface help make the car feel like your own whilst high-quality interior materials let you know that you’re in something special. The Hana is the first Kimura to come standard with a digital instrument gauge which can project information from the infotainment to the eye sight of the driver in complete clarity. H3X Concept by Kimura. Envisioning the next-generation sports car for the near future.

Revealed at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show, the Kimura H3X Concept previews what is soon to come in the Kimura lineup. Under the hood of the H3X concept lies a turbocharged 1.2 Liter Inline-3 engine and an electric motor which combine to produce over 300 horsepower. Mated to a 7-speed sequential transmission and able to switch from pure electric to hybrid power at any time, the H3X is capable of achieving over 55 MPG and up to 80 miles on electric range alone. The lightweight carbon fiber/aluminum chassis means steadfast acceleration and improved economy, as well as a rigid chassis that is one of the stiffest produced by Kimura. Even with the batteries, the kerb weight of the H3X rings it at under 1100 kgs, making it a svelte sports machine. Active suspension components and shutters around the car provide technology that is soon to make their way to mainstream Kimura vehicles.

Outside, the H3X is a clear evolution of the classic Kimura style. The aggressive sculpting and suggestive vents maintain brand identity, but with dramatic proportions on a short wheelbase it’s clear that this 2-seater sports concept is making a statement. The active technology headlights are a fierce complement to the bold, dynamic front end treatment. Along the sides, there are more aerodynamic components that help to direct airflow over the rear wheels for maximum air efficiency. The rear echos the sculpted nature of the front, with a bold rear diffuser and exaggerated taillights. On the inside, the combination of new and old come into play - a “virtual cockpit” lies in the sight of the driver, with a camera mounted to the front that displays the road ahead in a faux-3d style. The center infotainment screen has an innovative AR technology that can speak to the driver and guide them to any destination in clear detail, along with motion controls. Overall, the H3X’s style and functionality meld into one beautifully designed, elegant sports car.
