The Grandea GTR returns for 2019, with the return of a version designed to simply go fast around a track while having a bit of practicality outside of the track: The GTR/A.
The Grandea GTR/A (the A meaning attack) originated in 1998 as a tamer version of the Grandea GTR SV1, a car void of any comfort inside, which meant that it a beast in the tracks, but an absolute nightmare with normal driving. The GTR/A was a blend of the normal GTR and the SV1, where it lacked rear seats in place of a roll cage, but kept amenities like airbags and an A/C unit.
The GTR/A returns for the 2019 model year, looking as meaner as ever.

While it has already been made obvious with the previous iterations that every vent seen on the body aids with the car’s aerodynamics, the GTR/A’s ventwork emphasizes the aerodynamics a lot more, as well as cooling towards the brakes and the engine.
The vented brakes are replaced by that of carbon ceramic brakes are seen on the front and rear. From the outside, 19-inch RAYS VOLK RACING wheels are dressed with Yokohama ADVAN’s advanced performance tires.
The GTR/A is powered by the same IA36-GDAT 3.6L Turbocharged DOHC I6, only this time ZMD was allowed to let themselves a bit loose with the engine, now making 660 HP (60 more than the normal version) and 497 lb-ft of torque. This version is only available with a 6-Speed Manual.
Zenshi made sure to keep the driving spirit alive with this extreme GTR, but wanted to make sure that the driver could at least leave the track with some comfort applied to them.
