The '77 Castro’s name (like those of several of the company’s model lines) seems, quite frankly, ironic when you consider that it refers to a certain communist dictator, but its butch appearance would have endeared it to American customers anyway. And judging solely by how it looks, the Sirius would have been a serious competitor to its contemporaries, regardless of generation.
